I got a free container from ALRI. I didn't know they were still around.
Wasn't even sure what it was at first. Amino acids I guess. Apple Cider flavor. Smells okay. The tiny scoop is adorable. I'm going to pretend my Teddies are bodybuilding and that this is their scoop haha. But seriously.....
Thoughts on this?

Holy fuck just made my first serving.....this stuff tastes FANTASTIC. :P
I don't even care if it does anything anymore.
It's like a no calorie water flavored beverage at worst. Yummy! :P
-
Good alternative to whey
-
It's aminos. Been around for decades, absolutely nothing special about it.
If you want to support scam marketing then buy it.

This... Bogus product, they are just simple aminoacids... Not a substitute for whey, imo... Some guys i know take it with whey, but not alone...

I took my first serving tonight.
Like I said great taste.
Noticed no physical difference but I didn't expect to.
I did get it for free so I'll gladly use it till it's gone. The worst that will happen.....absolutely nothing. The best......maybe I'll notice a difference although I really don't know what extra amino acids can really do for a person....it's something I've never researched.
I took it post workout.

Really blasts through plateaus

I know some people that swear by it as their only source of protein. Not gonna lie, I'm curious myself. I imagine that EAAs would approximate this supplement well enough though
-
The idea that anything containing amino acids can have 0 kcal seems a little odd to me, but I realize a lot of companies seem to advertise any product with FFAAs as 0 kcal.
How does that even make sense from a physiological standpoint? If it were true, any sort of enzymatically pre-digested protein (think hydrolized) should be completely kcal free. To take it one step further, protein should have zero kcal because it's just FFAAs chained together. Always wondered whether I'm missing something here.

That's not quite how it went. :)
I meant when I received it that I didn't know how I would benefit from it. I did my research but wasn't sure what benefits ffaa's would have. It's still pretty up in the air with me.....some people notice a difference and believe.....others think snake oil.

No.....it would be a waste. It has 0.02 calories per scoop.....and he's on the starvation diet.

You can meet your protein needs without the accompanying caloric load. Useful for dieting

That's very interesting.....if someone can get the proper required protein from that.
I'm not a protein fan in general.

Like I said, I've had some friends who dieted with humapro as their only protein source. No whey, chicken, tuna, etc..... Just humapro.

Oh yeah?????
And the diet went well???

Zero complaints, the diet went better because they could consume less calories overall. I'll try and get some photos of these heroes.
Thats what always intrigued me about the supplement... if you can replace all your protein with it, it's not really all that expensive

how do you figure?

No.....it would be a waste. It has 0.02 calories per scoop.....and he's on the starvation diet.
I would assume that 1g amino acids would be 4 calories
-
The marketing claims are 99% bullshit.
Humapro is a rip-off of MAP (master amino profile).
