Why is Heath so goddamned narrow? Can we just figure it out once and for all and put it to rest? He hates reading these posts (and I know he lurks the muscle boards).
Narrow clavicle?
Lack of lateral deltoid mass?
Lack of upper lat flare (Dillett)?
Oversized arms making his shoulders looks smaller?

He's an ectomorph, and a narrow one at that. He has great muscle bellies and was willing to get on enough gas to gain 100 pounds in less than a decade...
but we can't escape our body types. There are people who have never touched a weight that look better in a baggy shirt than Mr O. Perhaps the self-proclaimed "the gift" nickname was a way to compensate for that... he's gifted in arms, but cursed in width.
He's done what it takes to win sandows, no doubt, props for that. every Mr O has some flaws. His is clavicles. Aside from that, he's pretty complete in today's landscape.

Are you sure he's an ecto? That would remind me of Dexter or Toney Freeman's shapes (adjusted for height). The amount of density in his muscle bellies makes me think he's more of a meso-endo personally. He looks like he can gain mass just eating sand and riding on gear. I could be wrong though, because I haven't seen any natural pics of him.
Kind of odd he'd be a college basketball player at 5'9" too. But yeah, his forearms are the biggest I've ever seen of any BBer, Ronnie and Victor included.

frank zane would be 260 pounds onstage today, but he'd still be an ecto, as far as his frame.
Drugs turn ectos into something that doesn't look ecto from the hanging muscle... but I mean, look at vic martinez next to phil... it's a mesomorph next to an ecto, no denying that. The muscle matches up but the frame doesnt.

He's just too big for his frame. Larry Scott still takes the most narrow Olympia though, but he looked better than Heath.

Heath is just narrow no 2 ways about it. Imagine how narrow he'd be without those delts. His traps are short and pinched, he will look bad when palumboism sets in

Let's say Heath competed in MMA and had to be tested. Which weight division would he be in?
I say 185 at most, but probably 170.

And Heath and ecto? LOL! Look at the pics of him playing college hoops. He's almost pure meso. Check out his arms and calves. Hebrew genetics of peace. He could have stepped on stage and won local shows - as a basketball player. How could anyone think this guy has less than optimal genetics for bodybuilding is beyond me.
