What's with all these eco boost buttons in cars lately? That eco boost button in cars is one gimmick. It makes the automatic trans up shift quicker robbing you of performance in acceleration if needed. It also makes your ac in some cars less powerful when engaged. Some eco buttons actually makes the gas peddle less responsive to your foot pressure but will disengage if you floor it.

I bought a straight 8 in 2012 have 20k miles, love it....would not buy boost, IMO trash.

I'm trading in my Chevy for a Cadillac-ac-ac-ac-ac... You outta know by now

The mileage is not living up to what is stated is the general consensus. Had some intercooler condensation problems on early ones but they seem to be fairly reliable. They have a lot of torque but I wouldn't want to own one with 200k on it. Maybe I'm dead wrong....doubt it though.
Drove both as test drives and I'd go with the 5.0 in a new F-150. Had all the 5.4 3-valve had and more and there are plenty of 4.6 and 5.4 out there all miled up and still going strong.
If you need to tow max ratings just go 6.2 Superduty.

Use one for work actually. Almost 50k on it, spends most of it's life hauling 4,500-5,000lb cars on top of a 1,500lb trailer. Not bad at all. Gets about 10-12mpg while pulling the load. I was skeptical of it at first but it ended up winning me over. It's one thing to brag to your buddies how bad ass your truck looks or how much horsepower and torque it has, while using it as a commuter car. Putting the thing through actual work that a truck is meant for is a whole different story.

Just got the FX2 a few months ago. I love it.

Basically what Someparts said. They have tons of torque, can tow 10-11 thousand pounds, but the mileage sucks. Real world is about 13 city, 17 hwy.

Ford trucks have never been known for their fuel economy.. drove one last week.. wasn't very impressed. go with 5.0L

I heard they've put on all the new model eco boost, a dildo inside the driver seat that gets mechanically activated and butt plug the person when you start the engine
another get big idiot

I test drove one and was really impressed, especially for a V6 (I know it's twin turbo), then for shits and giggles drove a new power stroke. It wasn't even close, get the diesel.
