Crossfit is overwhelmingly liberal anyway, so maybe you're killing two birds with one stone?

Is it legal to kill a liberal crossfitter with a stone?

US Law says you need two witnesses to confirm that they were both confirmed Liberals and that they attended a Crossfit "session" within the last 6 months.
Sadly, Hussein Obama is working to overturn that law.

Well, we had best get to skull bashing straight away.
-
Wait, are crossfitters protected like the homosexuals are?

Crossfit is owning the Coach's mind apparently

I always saw them more as independents/conservative natured rather than liberal- you know, the holier than thou types.

I dont know, I find both sides extremely holier than thou... the liberals do the whole 'im so tolerant, more tolerant than you, and so progressive, more progressive than you, im tolerant of everything except anyone that dares disagree with me'
obviously we know what conservatives do. In fact, liberals tend to climb on their high horse over things like the environment, all social issues, hybrid cars... anything they can feel smug and better than others because they 'care'.

The crazy liberals pushed me to the right hard. If you remember my political board posts from years ago you can see it.
To me, the crazy Christians and War Mongers are idiotic, but WAY more tolerable than the self destructive liberals. At least Bush's heart was in the right place (maybe), and he wasn't trying to intentionally hurt the people that are responsible for making the United States great.
The policies of the Right, no matter how extreme can't really jeopardize the future existence of the United States as we know it. If the far left gets their way though, we're done for. Obama has even made that clear, he wants a transformation. Most of us want the United States of the 1980's and 90's back.
I also find leftists to be extremely hateful, and authoritarian (unless you're a member of one of their "protected classes").

you would think, but all of the ones I have met have been kind of hipster ish, liberal to the max.

Nothing is tolerable about a bunch of dolts who think the earth is 6,000 years old, believed that man walked with dinosaurs, and hate science. This will be the downfall of man. You may hate liberals, but at least they believe in SCIENCE!! The one thing that is almost guaranteed to keep human beings going is science. Good luck trying to survive in a world where people hate science. That's a guaranteed death sentence.

Eh.... I'm not religious but they balance each other out. It's a very small group that doesn't believe in science. Most of them believe in science even if they believe in a god.

If they do, its to an extremely limited extent.

Many I know find science to be a way of understanding the Universe that god created. :D
Seriously though, I know almost zero Conservative Christians that completely discount Science... I can count on one hand those that I've met, and they were all psychotic zealots.

I absolutely agree regarding both sides. I wish there would a party just based solely on facts, evidence and science instead of ideology.

Parties are old hat. I don't think they could be done away with in a single stroke but they aren't needed today as they were in the past. Represtative government is no longer necessary with modern technology. The logistical problem of bringing people to the voting booth on any given issue has been solved. It's time to transition from party-aligned elected representatives to direct democracy.
A good starting point would be to allow a straight vote to check the actions of those elected if enough people object. Politicians just tell any old lie to get elected and then do whatever they want. It's bullshit and a means of preventing it should be available to people.

itd a great idea but it will never happen without bloodshed. The people in power and our elected representatives and those that have been working their way up the ranks will never allow it, theyd simply use the media to poison everyone's minds on why it would destroy the fabric of our country and be completely unconstitutional, unprogressive, and unpatriotic. They have such a stranglehold on the average American with the media and the polarizing 2 party system that real change will only happen through bloodshex.
but I really like the idea. Really, anything is better than what we have now... which is an effective oligarchy... we have a ruling class of politicians/corporate businessmen and then a serf class of everyone else.
The 1% isnt the "rich" making 200k/year.. its the politicians and their multinational bankers/corporate overlords/

I could see it happening without shots fired. "Within the system." If it gained momentum as a popular idea then a politician would benefit by endorsing it, while those who argued against it would find it hard to make their case without looking like elitist assholes. You may be right tho since I find it surprising that it simply never gets mentioned. Internet voting. Somehow it just never gets brought up.
I can see objections to it that might have merit, namely whether people can really be trusted to make the right decision vs the convenient decision, so I don't advocate immediate and total direct democracy, but it's definitely time to see it introduced as a means to control egregious abuses of represtative decision making. Questions of hacking/corruption are legitimate and bear investigation. Tons more besies, but the one major objection that doesn't apply for the first time in human history is that it can't be done.
The issue now is whether it should and, if so, how. I'm blown away that the internet isn't a-buzz with it to an extent that politicians have to play ball. Just like TV all we get is tits and salesmen. I agree we've been bought & sold. Breaks my heart. :-\

Must be a great feeling, but hey...

Coach you seem a little obsessed with cross fit. Is the local cross fit gym near yours packed with members? In my town we have two conventional gyms. A cross fit gym opened up and their parking lot is packed. It seems they are doing fantastic and I bet the two conventional gym owners are concerned.

Disclaimer - I always train 10 months out of the year in a regular BBing format but choose Nov and Dec to take time off and heal up. Each year for these two months I have chosen other activities to focus on and keep my fitness/activity level up instead of just sitting at home. One year I joined a full body kettle bell training program class (harder than it sounds when you are used to moving resistance in a specific path), another year I taught the boxing classes at the Golds Gym here, have done a Power Yoga and MFR class (very similar to the DDP Yoga program), this past Nov and Dec, l spent the two months in one of those power band body weight work out classes that you see being advertised by SEAL trainers (which was actually a very good change of pace and a tough workout), etc...
I joined a CF gym for eight weeks two years ago. Uggghhh. By the second week, I was already having members of the class complain that I was not following the format of the WOD (workout of the day) that was posted. Which is true, because I wasn't. I gave up after the 4th class and seeing how dangerous some of it was.
In CF defense, I will say that the premise of short intense workouts of a variety of difference exercises is effective for the average trainee (non BBing, non Strength, non Sports specific). It gets your heart rate up, you sweat, and you get in shape. But that is about all I can say.
The worst part is the members are a cult like group that wear their injuries they have incurred in these classes like a badge of honor. Blown RC? Cool. Torn lat? Suck it up. Tendonitis? That will get your beginners badge merit. The exercises themselves are not overly dangerous to people that have been training before if done properly in a controlled manner. But "properly" and "controlled manner" do not belong in CF vocabulary. They encourage high reps done at high speeds where your form breaks down after the first 5-6 reps. You no longer actually use your body to control the weight, instead you use it to generate momentum and to lurch and jerk around. I can't tell you the number of people I saw falling over and over when doing overhead squats. Getting their wigs split when they fell on their ass and the bar came down and hit them in the head. Or the number of times I would literally cringe when watching people risk a bicep tear while flopping around trying to get in the final position on the gymnastic rings over head.
Oh and if you have quads that are capable of moving more than your body weight for ten reps or more in the gym, you do NOT need to be doing those stupid box jumps unless you want to put your knee cap and tendons at extreme risk.
Never again will I waste my time or money on one of these places.
