quit reading it when she accused him for being a psycho and pedophile
most overused libels on the internet
0 creativity, 0 care
ultimately, he wins because the person having the meltdown is always the one who's butthurt
and the world isn't stupid enough not to realize that after the initial effect wears off

She should be held to task for libel, from the bare facts I've read (albeit there may be more here I don't know).
It's quite a disrespectful and mean spirited thing to call another a "borderline pedo" on an anonymous board, where both the OP and the target are anonymous. I wouldn't do it, but I guess it's a quasi-victimless crime. Folks here seem to love doing it! LOL!
But she made the accusation, in writing, with no anonymity.
If you're going to make statements, better be prepared to back them up.
She made the statement with the full intent of malice. A relationship with an 18 year old is not pedophilia - it's an adult relationship as defined by the law (we can argue the societal semantics and ethics at another time). The woman used deliberately inflammatory language in an attempt to stir up a vengeful outcome towards the man's job (she knew he was around kids at school...the investigation would forever tarnish and ruin his reputation, and what we post online lives on forever, so there's no "retraction" that can save his reputation. In the court of public opinion, he's finished with kids).
Is he innocent? Nope, probably shouldn't cheat on a woman and if he did, then he'll have to pay the price and settle the splitting of assets with her. I wouldn't have had a single problem with the entire thing, except for uses of the words "psychopath" and "borderline pedophile". That ruined the man's livelihood. She has no right to do it, hence, a case for libel. Certainly, a case the courts should be presented with.
I think it could yield a very interesting precedent on what society can consider appropriate "redress" for a woman scorned. Let's start drawing lines in the sand on what's healthy in terms of vitriolic blind rage at a partner who's cheated on you, and what constitutes breaking the law.
I know how I'd vote were I on the jury. And I'm sympathetic to her plight...she deserves to see him squirm and no one should cheat on another in a committed relationship - there's no reason to do it. But she shouldn't be allowed to ruin his job. Unless he was carrying on with a student at the school. Then, even if she's 18, that's an ethical breach that all those who work in the school system abide by.
Admittedly, I don't know the whole story. But that's where I come down on the issue. Very interesting indeed.

Her letter is well written. Having said this, epic backpeddling in the second note. Clearly legal action was threatened.
And what's wrong with living with Mom and Dad? :D
