I have a friend that will b competing this spring on East coast he is about 6'3" tall, 274 lbs, with 12 % BF, he's planning to compete at 250...
He showed me his diet, (gear and all) and for the next 4 weeks he will be taking about 372 grams of protein daily (I honestly think that amount is way too high) wasting Protein
I t think when you're on the right "protocol" you could eat 250 grams or 350 of protein and wont tell a difference..
Could be wrong though ......what do you say ?
WoooSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHH
-
depends how many carbs he is eating and overall calorie deficit
-
I say his protein is where it needs to be, it wont be wasted.
-
yah huge guys need that protein, esp on diet and high doses.
also depends on how many carbs.

thanks.
this is his basic diet for the next 4 weeks : 372 grams of protein, 163 gr carbs, and 21 gr of fat...a total of ,2.110 calories .
Wooosshhhhhh

sounds fine but he wont be shredded in weeks time from 12% ???

^^THIS^^
He`s taking a decent amount for repair/recovery, as well as to maintain muscle size while leaning out based on his bodyweight.
Just my opinion,I do believe that the tons of protein taken by most people is definiately overkill and not needed at all.

He needs to do a lot of zero to 50 gram carb days to get ripped in time IMO.
