I have always suspected them of doing this.
-
They were doing that to Daniel Bryan also..
But the yes moment got so big..
They had to accept it..
There doing that also with CM Punk...
-
WCW used to pipe crowd reaction sounds through their arena sound system when their fans resembled an oil painting.
-
Theyve been doing that for years. They did it at WM6. Everyone was pro Hogan and against Warrior but they tried to force feed it to everyone that the crowd was split.

Did not know that. They fooled me.

I was lucky enough to be at both WM6 and WM18. Unreal...
Back too topic...they do this every show to deflect the anti-Cena boos.

I remember the announcers selling the "split crowd" angle, too.

The tried to do the same thing with Rock and Hogan at WM 18 but it didn't work.

I remember watching that match with a group of buddies. WWF tried selling the split crowd angle, but it was SO OBVIOUS that it was Hogan's crowd. His reaction was genuine, and I remember watching the referee struggling to hear the cues through his ear piece.
I thought they were scrambling backstage to change the finish, and I was shocked they had Rock go over. One thing I'll say about Rock is that his ego never interfered with his cooperation as a professional. He would have taken the dive for Hogan that night...and he did at the following PPV.

I was at both Hogan Warrior (I was 12 LOL) and Hogan Rock (much older then lol)
for WM6 both got huge pops with Hogan getting a slightly bigger one but the whole place went crazy when Warrior won. it was not all hogan, it was quite mixed. just look at the first two roman arm locks they did. crowd went nuts for BOTH of them getting the upper hand.
for Hogan Rock, at first it was a bit mixed but as the match when on it was all hogan and we booed rock.
we went crazy during Hogan's Hulk Up. also when he used his belt on the rock.

I don't think anyone - not even Hogan - was expecting anything like the reaction he got in his match with Rock!

That should have been the last match of the card...not HHH and Jericho. No one could follow that.

Had they known the response it would get, they probably would have made it the main-event.
-
people we leaving during HHH Jericho..
also, I think Hulk should have gone over based on the crowd reaction alone.
no one wanted Rocky to win. lol

Really?
I'm surprised they left, as Y2J was the closest thing to a "hometown hero" that night.

There was Edge and Christian but the old man screwed up putting them on last. Hogan and Rock should have been on last instead. How do you follow that?

I was always surprised at how over Hogan was in Canada, given his "American Hero" gimmick for all those years.

Are you sure about that? Maybe a majority of the fans were pro Hogan but I'd say a small majority at best. I've watched that match several times and the fans were out of their seats when Warrior won.

Yeah, same thing happened with Triple H again at WM 25 when he and Orton went out after HBK and Taker, such an anti-climax

Ziggs needs to shut his mouth, he knows wwe is a machine and fighting it will only make it harder for yourself... Hell be losing on main event and even nxt I'm sure in know time

I agree with, which is sad because around this time last year he was really over.

100% positive. I was at the event.

hmmm.
so was I and it was quite mixed from my vantage point (thanks Bobby Heenan).
warrior got massive pops
just Hogan's were a bit more massive.

5000 people were for Warrior. 63,000 were for hogan. When hogan left the ring, everyone was watching him leave on the little cart instead of watching the new champ in tbe ring. My section fans were yelling Hogan! Hogan! And what happened...ratings dropped nose dive style..a year later they put the title back on Hogan.
