Title: how many reps?
Post by: lickitysplit on March 06, 2014, 07:02:29 AM
Hello all,

I have read the rep ranges sticky and was wondering what sort of ranges you guys
were using?

I have been doing a week of heavy (4-6 reps) week of medium (8-10 reps) and week of lights
(12-15 reps). What do you all think of this ...is it a good idea. What are your most effective ranges?

I was considering doing 12-10-8-6 reps

thanks

So when you are going for mass would you do say, 4 sets of 8 and when thats
comfortable up the weight again?

Do you throw strength sessions in occasionally?  I would be inyerested
to know your workout, I have seen your progress on G&O.

Cheers for the reply

changing reps weekly will not do what he thinks it will do.

you need to work on this in phases. each phase is 2 months.

phase I : mid range reps for size
phase II: higher reps for cuts
Repeat phase I
Repeat phase II

if you want strength then do that for phase II and eat clean

Cheers for the input guys. Think I will go for 8-10 reps for a couple of months and then
re-evaluate then.
