The Republican Party’s libertarian moment has arrived—and so has the backlash.

Rand Paul once again took the nation’s largest gathering of conservative activists by storm. Perhaps more surprisingly, so did marijuana legalization.

The younger generation of voters now coming of age is increasingly libertarian. Confidence in government is at a record low.

But not everyone is happy with these developments. The establishment—and the empire—is striking back.

Ron paul also won the CPAC straw poll i believe...nothing came of it (as thee establishment squashed him as best as they could)

that's virtually a guarantee that he won't be the nominee

If RAND would embrace NATIONAL LEGALIZATION, he would win 400 electoral votes.  Maybe 450.  And he only needs 270.

I dont even smoke pot, but I know that shit would win.  National ticket.  imagine it. 

BUT he won't.   He'll embrace amnesty on a national levels, shit on states rights when convenient,and be just like the rest of them.
