Do people honestly believe this? it is just another PR stunt by planet fitness to get free media attention and attract more fatties to pay $19.99 a month but never show up

A successful money making gym does so by having people join and not show up. If a gym ever had 85% of members working out you wouldn't be able to move inside it.

there are spectacular gyms for 200-250 per year

no cardio equipement but solid barbels dumbels benches, plate loaded machines

50-70 a month.I know of a gym that was 8 bucks a month. Small 24/hr gym. Had cardio machines, squat rack, smith machine, dumbbells up to 100, all great leg equipment.
