His shape is awesome for a big man. All he needs is an added 10lbs of muscle over his 2005 NY Pro physique combined with a drop of 4-5lbs of fat. He will Look bigger and better than Cormier. His frame is wider and can carry more muscle than Cormier. Chris has better balance than Mustaffa or Branch Warren. He can stand next to dennis James and not look small.
I think only Dexter and Gustavo will beat him!

Good Luck Chris!

He CAN be, but he won't be. He has a lot of potential if he can thicken up his back, chest and abs, but he's never truly peaked for a contest in his life. He's always water logged or flat. I wouldn't bet on him doing it this year or maybe ever, and even if he did it for the Arnold he would get overlooked. There are too many quality physiques who've paid their dues.

Jay Cutler proved in 2001 that the top names can be beaten if a 260lb physique comes in ripped.

True. And that's a good comparison, because I think Cook has the same difficulty Jay does in getting shredded. Jay's overcome it as best he can. Cook hasn't figure it out yet. Maybe he will. I would bet against him doing it this year, but I agree he has a lot of potential.

This thread is hilarious!
-
I agree. For you are a jukebox hero LatsMcGee and you have stars in your eyes....
-
yea i think cooke should be placed higher in cintest then he has been
-
i just don't understand why these cool dudes do their hair so awesome.....because its totally related to this thread.
-
Chris Cook will never be in the top 3 in all but the weak shows to think otherwise your living in LA LA land.
-
Chris Cook seems like a pretty sharp guy, so i don't see him wasting his time with pro BBing for very long.
-
This is funny, thinking Chris to be top 3 in ASC.. Well he can win ASC too....
in 2050
-
he looks OK by himself...However, he's very skinny in comparison to the other pro's in a line-up..
-
Show has way too much depth, dude needs a few more years before cracking the top 3 in this line up. :-\
S. Ray
-
No he could be top 3 if only 3 guys are in it.:)
-
He'll get his ass handed to him at the AC, and his stomach is already overgrown at his young age :-\

Shawn before the 2001 Olympia where did you have Jay Cutler placing? Before the 2002 Olympia where did you have Gunter placing? Before the 2004 Olympia where did you have Gustavo placing?
-
He won't place top 3 in any contest this year, wanna bet?
-

Chris Cook can be top 3 at the Arnold Classic!
::)

-
Glad to see Chris is so well liked by his fellow pros. ::)
-
Chris has a good body, but his neck and head look to small.
-
I dont think cook has the potential to be abetter bodybuilder than cormier he probly can carry more muscle but his shape (although not bad) is not in the same league as cormier. As for a top 3 at the arnold NO CHANCE not this year!
-
Its true, he may be top three, at the 2009 Arnold! This thread just shows how most people dont really have a clue about bodybuilding.
-
What am I.....Jimmy The Greek? ::)
-
Hey Shawn..remember when Jimmy the Greek said the "Black" athlete is superior because of the plantations breeding their biggest slaves to make stronger workers.........and CBS had his ass. OMG

At least he isn't a midget with no chest. hahahahahahahahahahahaha haha!!!

Isn't this the same guy who is known for not coming in conditioned the day of the show?!?!?!
-
The guy has a very good structure, full muscle bellies and decent size. His main problem is getting into top notch condition.

lol.. don't post it here.. We don't want killer on board
-
this is the first time he is prepping for a contest where he has not had to guest pose, travel, every month.
he is still working full time, but has much more time and energy to prepare.
he will surprise everyone at the arnold. ;)
-
I haven't seen Chris Cook compete yet, but his structure looks better than a lot of pros. He needs to improve his back and conditioning, which will probably take more time. I don't think he'll be top 3 at the Arnold, but he'll do well in the future.
-
he will do just fine
-
yes he will
-
Where's Titus' butt? ;D

whats the story behind chris cook?
Used to train at the same Golds as him, back when Hany wasn't the super guru he is today. Cook had great genes, and looked pretty good, but his training flat out sucked, especially back training. Chest had no depth. He always seemed uncomfortable being big, I never got the feeling he liked it. Dude used to do seated hammers with the 110's like they were made out of paper, he definitely was fucking strong. Had potential, decided to go MMA and we never really heard from him since.
In my honest opinion, MMA seems more lucrative, but damnit if you CAN be a bodybuilder you CAN'T be a top MMA fighter, that's just how the fuck it is. I want to fight too, but I know I will always lack the stamina that makes great fighters great. I grow WAY too easily, and with fighting that's not a good thing...Chris should never have left bodybuilding...
-
his problem was that he is heterosexual.
-
theres a lot to the story of Chris Cook. some truth sayers ought to tell it...

Whats weird is guys who never been in a fight in their life(don't know if Chris fell into the category) decide that they want to get punched in the face for a living. It just doesn't happen like that. Those MMA guys are a different breed.
