I agree except i would drop Cutler to the 6 spot. I think Kevin has nearly as much mass and is far superior in every other aspect. And while Shawn gives up a lot of size, he had more detail in one pec than Cutler has in his whole body.

If you had picked the 2004 line up (with Rhul in the top 6, Ronnie and Jay holding tons o'water etc) they would have been crushed by the lineup in the mid 90's (except for Dorian of course, after all, he was post tear then ;))

I don't think a post-tear Yates would do that well.

1993 Yates would do well, but not a post 1993 version.

i kept that book in the bathroom and read it for quite a few weeks.

There is enough bacteria in that book to encompass yin and yang, cold and heat, and the constraints of the seasons.

prime this is a great idea...lets name 3 judges here on get big and do a prejudge and posedown and come up with a winner....

we could do different years other than this one as well

I said top 6 Flex was not in the top 6 in 1995.

Lets say 2005 top 6 at their best Vs. 95 top 6 at their best:

1st and 2nd: Dorian and Ronnie depending on what the judges want
3rd & 4th: Gustavo and Kevin
5th: Jay
6th: Nasser
7th: Shawn
8th: Chris
9th: Vince

Then again judging depends on what the judges are use to see (type of physiques)

It was different each year depending on the line up … 1 year they liked Shawn and Labrada’s Physique and the next they wanted Kevin and Nasser … so u never know what the judges are looking for …

Plus the earlier era (early and mid 90) the Bodybuilders were much leaner and harder … now I don’t know if it was the lighting, tanning, photography or simply some drugs were available and legit that time that are not now a days. So there days we have more mass but lack hardness … more muscularity but lack definition.

See Paul Dillet's comments at the time about how Dorian looked. In fact that top 6 overall was better than 2005. Look how dry those guys were at the 95. The detail on Shawn Ray that year is amazing. Ronnie and Cutler don't come close - probably due to their ever increasing amounts of insulin use. Feel the power.
