Title: CNN can't help acting stupid "... a black hole was involved?"
Post by: dario73 on March 21, 2014, 05:13:01 AM
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/weird-news/mh370-cnn-anchor-genuinely-entertains-missing-plane-black-hole-theory-9204742.html

"Is it preposterous to consider a black hole was involved?" CNN's Don Lemon asked a panel of floating heads to their bemusement.

Mary Schiavo, a former Inspector General for the US Department of Transportation, shut the debate down fairly quickly, replying:  "A small black hole would suck in our entire universe, so we know it’s not that."

It doesn't matter if he began his question by stating "I know it's preposterous.."

To even entertain that "theory" it's ridiculous.

Hilarious.

The plane's possible abduction via a UFO's tractor beam will be talked about next, probably.

equally stupid response. There's a black hole at the center of our galaxy and it hasn't swallowed our galaxy much less the universe.

And it wasn't Don's own question. There's stupider things out there, like for example climate denial.

When is it ever Obama's fault?

He's the top executive, never has a clue what the fuck is going on in his own administration, and is never at fault for anything.

Unemployment still high - not Obama's fault
Dept. of Justice spying on reporters - not Obama's fault
State Dept. fucks up - not Obama's fault
ATF fucks up - not Obama's fault
IRS fucks up - not Obama's fault
Disastrous health care roll out - not Obama's fault
Least transparent administration - not Obama's fault

Guess Hope & Change doesn't include actually being accountable for his own fucking administration.

What has struck me as rather odd, is that despite all the talk we hear about this "missing plane", I have not yet heard one mention of "the black box" Didn't this plane have a Black box? If so... what gives?

The economy isn't Obama's doing, he inherited a shit storm, now he hasn't improved it a ton but he certainly hasn't worsened it which I would argue is hard to do with the path you guys were on.

Necrosis, the economy isn't W. Bush's doing either. It's Bill Clinton's doing:

25 People to Blame for the Financial Crisis

Bill Clinton
"President Clinton's tenure was characterized by economic prosperity and financial deregulation, which in many ways set the stage for the excesses of recent years. Among his biggest strokes of free-wheeling capitalism was the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which repealed the Glass-Steagall Act, a cornerstone of Depression-era regulation. He also signed the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, which exempted credit-default swaps from regulation. In 1995 Clinton loosened housing rules by rewriting the Community Reinvestment Act, which put added pressure on banks to lend in low-income neighborhoods. It is the subject of heated political and scholarly debate whether any of these moves are to blame for our troubles, but they certainly played a role in creating a permissive lending environment."

George W. Bush
"From the start, Bush embraced a governing philosophy of deregulation. That trickled down to federal oversight agencies, which in turn eased off on banks and mortgage brokers. Bush did push early on for tighter controls over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but he failed to move Congress. After the Enron scandal, Bush backed and signed the aggressively regulatory Sarbanes-Oxley Act. But SEC head William Donaldson tried to boost regulation of mutual and hedge funds, he was blocked by Bush's advisers at the White House as well as other powerful Republicans and quit. Plus, let's face it, the meltdown happened on Bush's watch."

Immediately after Bush took office in 2001, there was a recession.  Was this Bush's fault?  No, it was Clinton's fault.  Clinton left Bush a huge mess.

Clinton made it possible for derivative swaps to get out of control.  When warned that this would soon destroy the economy, Clinton ignored the warnings.  Now Obama is doing the same.  Recessions are only going to get worse and more frequent.

After 5 years of the jokeinthewhitehouse, these dolts are still blaming Bush.

HEHEHEHE!!

The failed community organizer asked for the economy. He made it worse and somehow Bush is to be blamed for that.

Lately, it seems every president enters right as a recession starts.  It's like the guy before him holds back as much crap as possible, to make things look nice for their exit from office.  Clinton, Bush, Obama... they've all entered in a recession, I think.

it'll be like that for the repub that wins in 2016, and it'll be the crap obama left them.  But to say obama caused the horrendous economy that we saw on Jan 21, 2009, would be completely asinine.

It seems that way because it is that way.  It's called "kicking the can down the road."
