I don`t have to worry about things like that because I do not drink alcohol nor do I use any drugs, steroids, medications or pain relievers of any kind.

No.  I don`t get sick because I keep my distance from anyone who is sick and just people in general.  I also never touch my face after being in public unless I just washed my hands.  Its really easy to avoid being sick.  Most humans are just disgusting and don`t realize this.

No way.  The thought of any type of drug frightens me.  I like to be in full control of my senses. Besides, as I always say, whats the difference of using drugs and just spinning yourself in circles and then trying to walk?  Its the same thing.

Start here:
=10m35s

Momma G says "The Dr. will put you on permanent medication", and Adam says "For the other stuff you've been taking" and "it's probably not just the monsters"... "You need to quit taking everything you're taking Jason, you know what I'm talking about".

His mom asks "What is he taking Adam?" Adam answers "I think he's taking Pro Hormones" @11:15

That sounds pretty serious, I definitely wouldn't take it lightly if I was Adam or his parent.

Easier way of not getting sick and staying anabolic and lean. Low dose of DNP with clen to keep running low grade fever.

the problem with jason is that he has severe mental health issues and he is so fixated on bodybuilding.  this is not a good mix as this sport is heavily dependent on drugs.  jason will not be able to stop taking pro-hormones and/or roids.

he is not able to overcome his mental issues.  he needs serious help if he wants to get healthier, but i don't think he can afford this kind of help in the USA and his mother is too stressed out and stupid to make a difference at this point.  adam is dumb too.

bri is just a rage bitch with a nice booty.  would love to tap dat ass.

I don't think his genetics are that bad. He has a very simular set up to Paul Demayo. I am curious what he could look like on a big pro stack. He's narrow. Good wheels and calves. Decent back, chest and arms. Drugs would bring the cuts right out.

Its a night and day difference when you do them like Vic instructs.  I don`t think many people really do them correctly at all.  You really don`t even need to use much weight at all to make it burn and work like crazy.  Most people are just using their biceps and momentum when they do lat pulldowns and are not really using the back at all.

Try the motion right now at your chair, like Vic says to do in the video.  You can even feel it without any weight, just by doing the correct motion.

This is good, I never knew to think of it as a two part exercise. Makes perfect sense. Focusing on putting the load on the outer edge of your hand is genius.

Have you ever used one of those pullover machines? I've never been in a gym that has one but they look as though they would be pretty good at focusing completely on the lats, as they take the arms out of the exercise all together.

Post by: oldtimer1 on April 18, 2014, 04:41:59 AM
Doing a dead hang pull up or chin up then going all the way up is a brutal exercise. What guys do are partials. Not going all the way up is the biggest cheat. The bar should touch the upper region of your chest or come close. You want to get you elbows down to fully engage the lats through a full range of motion.

Pull downs have turned into a super cheating exercise. Guys that couldn't do 10 strict pull ups use 250lbs plus jerking the bar as they lean back doing the pull down. Stay upright. It will limit the weight but you will really feel it in the lats. If you want to do a row then do a row with a barbell, dumbbell or cable. Again pull the bar to the upper chest. Don't take a crazy wide grip on the bar. Shoulder width will do it. A really wide grip limits the travel of the elbows from full extension to all the way down. It's that lat muscle that is pulling your arms down so think about the travel from where your elbows are.
Title: Re: Lat Pulldowns Q - New JJ GENOVA trains back
Post by: Thin Lizzy on April 18, 2014, 06:40:55 AM
Every exercise has turned into a cheating exercise as most people are unable to leave their egos at the door.

The problem with pull ups is that you're not allowed warm up sets as you're stuck with your bodyweight as the  be all end all. Eventually you're gonna get hurt.

With pulldowns, a mindset I've found helpful is to think about bringing your chest to the bar and that will cause you to bring the bar down and back with your arms serving strictly as levers.

Why are pulldowns harder with the same weight than pullups?

Anyone else think this?

???

What Adonis said. With pull-ups, most get that swinging motion going which adds momentum to the force applied.
