The moment we all been waiting for ...the third attempt in a row from Arnold to make a blockbuster weekend at the movies! He has failed with both last Stand and Escape Plan, this Friday he's back with SABOTAGE while Russell Crowe becomes Noah the biblical character.
who will come on top ?
who dares to give a number to Arnold 's movie this weekend; will he b number one, or fail to make top 5 ?

Sabotage looks like arnolds best film since he's been back, reviews are mainly positive. Noah looks like the usual overhyped cgi shitfest.

All I hear since the trailer of Sabotage is on rotation is that Arnold looks too old for that type of film.
I'll say the movie will make under $10 millions.
Noah will easily make over $25 millions.

noah will win. arnold's movie kinda suck lately. crowe's will have insanely high production value and i bet every old person that sees movies will see it (in addition to the young ppl that see it).

They don't suck but rather than go all out they've only nodded at past greatness. When arnold got the gun near the end of escape plan everyone in the cinema went mad expecting commandesque slaughtering but it was over too quick. The mini gun out the back of the bus scene in the last stand was cool, then again, over too quick. The fight in escape plan between arnie and sly should have been epic but was over too quick.
To be classic they need to have standout epic moments rising above what came before.
Sabotage is meant to be very dark and gritty and a totally different role for arnold but the family orientated noah will stomp it infortunately, its girly man era.

Sabotage looks good, but bombed at the box office. I'll definitely check it out on DVD.
As for Escape Plan... It was ok, but they definitely waited too long to do a flick together.

Apparently he is doing movies just relive his glory days with pay days of 2 - 3 million dollars

The age of the old school action hero is dead, unfortunately. Replaced with redundant CGI and male characters that have been feminized.

Sabotage is an action packed movie as well...
Arnold might have to change his tactics when promoting a film, cause when people watch the trailer , they all say" fuck he looks too old and tired'.

At the start of Arnold's movie career, he was trying to that Clint Eastwood, "Dirty Hairy" persona.
But Clint Eastwood was able to change as he aged. Clint was great as he got older. He was older in "Unforgiven". He had moments of weakness & vulnerability, but he still turned out to be badass at the end.

Thing is that unlike Clint , Arnold looks/walks tired in his 60's...Arnold upper body has shrunk also, his belt is above navel now making him look way too Senile .

I think the way it works is the distributors bid on the film, the highest bidder gets it.
I don't think Producers lose anything, its the distributors

Movie studios now Sly and Arnie are hit or miss now, there not getting the 20m a movie like they did in the 80's.

If I know a film will flop im sure they do too. when stallone was on talk shows promoting "bullet to the head" he rarely spoke about it, he just spoke about his career..it was just a payday to do in between films.
Stallone and the studio knows EXPENDABLE 3 will be a hit. they make em cheap in shitty countries and make all the money back on the weekend. Stallone will take minimum pay and collect on profit.
