dave is a seasoned vet.  never made it to the pros, but he is fairly knowledgeable.  i would agree that bad isn't always bad, but if you're a newbie, you shouldn't be using bad form on anything.

when you gain more experience and you increase your level of consciousness, you can afford to do some bad form here and there for whatever reason.

If you are a genetic freak then do whatever you want cause you will grow, but if you are an average dude who wants to gain muscle then form is important.
