1. Bodybuilder
2.Weightlifter
3. Powerlifter
I consider myself a weightlifter because I enjoy the physiques of bodybuilders but I never desire to compete as one. I enjoy watching powerlifters but never desire to compete as one. I would like to get as big and strong as possible but also look presentable.

I understand your reasoning and agree with what you said. And would consider myself the same. But a lot of people would look at theses 3 categories and think that weightlifter would be competitive like bodybuilder or powerlifter, so that would mean an olympic style lifter. So you might say you are a recreational weightlifter, or a non-competitive bodybuilder.
-
I'd say a recreational weightlifter. I do it to try to stay in shape and feel and look OK. I'm 6'1" and 250 lbs. but I'll never look "bodybuilder big" and don't know if I'd want to anyway. And I'm stronger than anyone I know but not nearly strong enough to win a PL contest either. So it's like I've got the worst of all possible worlds. ;D

How about "bodybuilder that doesn't eat clean enough", or is that the same thing as weightlifter?
-
What about "Powerbuiler." Likes to lift heavy, could complete at a local pw show and hold his own but also primarily concerned with their physique.
I think the best question is: Lift heavy or look good? Tryin to have a good mix of both.

"Iron Warrior"
-
StrengthLifter.......
Functional strength, without regard to aesthetics.
Not a pure "powerlifter" though because I have no desire to compete and my BF% is still decent and I actually do cardio after my workouts.
The biggest difference is that most guys go in to the gym to feel a "pump" whereas I go in to push maxes with tight form......
Whole different mindset.

x2, although I look absolutely NOTHING like Skorp, as he looks like a bodybuilder.
I think I need to add in some more work for aesthetics at this point though.

Many of us aspire to have great physiques. But I feel that unless you actually compete and/or have competed and have gone through at least one legit content prep and stood on stage, you can't call yourself a true bodybuilder. That is just my own personal feeling. A lot of us do everything a bodybuilder does and cut pretty damn hard as well. But to me, the dividing line is nutting up and competing. If you never compete, you're just a yoked out weightlifter on gear. :-\ I dont mean to imply I compete because I never have and have no plans to. My physique is not that elite either.
As for powerlifters, I never got that. They look like fat slobs (most of them at least) and train for ego lifts, risking major injury and wear on tear on your body. I enjoy training. I dont want an injury to sideline me or nag at me the remainder of my life. I'd also rather look good naked. Call me shallow. Nobody cares what you bench, fatboys. Only other meatheads give a fuck.
