i read his name in a post and i was wondering if anybody knows how hes doing now. last i heard(which was a while ago) he was still in a coma
any news?

I dont think oville had to much hope skin was 2 thick maybe he tried so hard to hit condition that he sent his body over the edge

dieting had nothing to do with him being in a coma. he injured himself during a photo shoot and then fell into a coma during the following surgery.

As I have posted a thread or two about this before:
Basically nobody "in the know" has said anything and will say anything when a thread like this is posted.
Just a lot of "i heard" posts that are kind of stupid.. like "i heard he went into a coma".
Well yeah.. but how is the dude now..
During the time I think someone alluded to the fact he may have suffered brain damage or something like that. Anyway, thats what "I heard" around the time and it certainly makes sense if nobody seems to be saying anything about him. Its a shame really - but I suppose you have to respect the familys decision if they indeed wish that he would just disappear from the public eye after this. :-\

ORVILLE BURKE, who lapsed into a coma following surgery to reattach his triceps on November 5, continues to make slow progress from his ordeal. According to close friend STEVE WEINBERGER, "Orville's doing a lot better, but it will be a long road to recovery. He is breathing on his own. He is opening up his eyes. He can recognize people."
As of December 2, Burke was still in intensive care, with hopes of soon moving toward beginning his work in a rehab center. "It looks like he is going to survive, but now he faces a hard rehabilitation road ahead of him," says Weinberger, who owns the gym where Burke trains, Bev Francis Gold's Gym in Syosset, New York. "We'll see how he responds. We're hoping for the best."
FLEX sends its best to Orville and his family, and we urge the entire bodybuilding community to continue to keep him in their thoughts.

He was one of my favorite bodybuilders of the 90s and early 00s, so sad what happened to him, wish him and his family well.

If only the athletes rep posted here, whoever that is. He could tell us...and get Orville top notch medical care to get him out of that coma and back on stage hiking his thong up his ass to show his glutes to men in the audience. Yeah!

After he started slowly recovering, he suffered a minor stroke that set him back and he occasionally had to use a wheelchair. To make matter worse, he was later diagnosed with crohn's disease. Not exactly doing well, but at least he's alive.

theres a huge scarcity of wide bodybuilders today. even the dark bodybuilders look like small tits now.

Like other former pro's like matarazzo. When they win everybody wants to shake hands with them, when they get sick the industry turns their back at them.
Wasn't crohn's disease what ended mike françois career?
