Can a male fitness model really have a career or do they keep their day jobs. Exclude any gay for pay crap! I am talking about legit guys that model themselves from the school of Steve Reeves.
-
Ask WisconsinBB. I think he attended Bob Paris High. That kinda school.
-
the problem with modeling, especially male modeling, is that the more you do the more you become over-exposed and therefore there will be less demand for you. if you're too successful, your career will be very short lived.

TUIM FOGERTY is 100% correct when it comes to over-exposure of male models.
I know this for a fact due to the fact that two family members were successful in the modeling business and one in particular was Herb Ritts' principal model ..... Levis, Klein/Cline (the underware company), Joop Men's Calogne, numerous European clothing, jewely, and liquor ads, etc... all shot by Herb or through Herb contacts. And they also did numerous music videos . (Maddona and Janet Jackson to name just a couple)
Mark was a huge success due to his worldwide contacts in the business, but the main reason for his success was the fact that Herb never included his face in the photographs that were intended to be used for advertising purposes.
In reference to the current NPC fitness models... I am only aware of two who make huge salaries in the $200,000 range due to their modeling efforts an personal websites, but there are most likely more and in my personal opinion. I think that the future for Mem's Physique winners looks promising financially.

Yes you can have a career and make good money as a male model, I quit modeling for two reasons ,
1st -at 5'9'' I was too short to make it big as a runway model .
2nd -the whole industry is run by homosexuals, I got sick of playing ''the game'' (outed) just to get work .
-
The road to becoming a fitness model can be a gateway to alot of bad shit if you aren't smart.
The honest truth is that not everyone with a good set of abs can be a fitness model (including myself)

None of em can live from modeling alone. Even the Top guys like Christian Boeving or Mike O Hearn have to do crap on the side (G4P, "Private" training etc.)

Wrong. Everyone with a halfway decent physique can get on the cover of a magazine (blowing the right dicks). I've seen guys who were in magazines for sets, who look NOTHING special at all irl, like the average gymrat.
Basically all you need is an agent who gets you jobs. The question is, what for? For a no name: 200-300 bucks per shoot.

It didn't work for me, my friend
Btw, my physique overrode the "uniqueness" of my face
