Title: Have you ever thought why we rarely do the things we love to do?
Post by: calfzilla on April 10, 2014, 03:13:10 AM
Seems like the things in life we love and are most fun we never or rarely do them?  ???

Maybe it's kinda like how you don't go to the same restaurant every week because you might get sick of it.

Lack of money. Simple as that.

If something is special it should remain so, hence you should not do it frequently. I make this mistake all the time, so I burn out on every hobby.

Yeah, my favorite food is a dish my grandmother makes. I eat every year for my birthday. I could eat it every week but i don't.

The things I love to do either cost a boatload or are existentially dangerous, usually both.

A warrior poet by the name of Nicholas Diaz said that love can not exist without hate nor hate without love. That to truly love something entails also hating it.

I believe there's truth to that.

If you do something you love too often then you won't love doing it anymore. Sex is possibly the only exception and even that can get stale with the same partner.

Money is one cause, priority another.

Sometimes having a 'slightly' autistic one track mind can be a blessing...
