I have never dated a woman who was into lifting in a serious manner, dated a dancer and various women who keep in shape down the gym (shitty classes and machines), but never a woman who looks like a fitness model (got abs, squats, etc).
Of the women who have trained at my gym who fall into this category, and more extreme examples (hipo-esque she beasts with penor clits), all have a look of mental instability to them.
Is this everyone else's experience? Who here has dated a fitness chick, and what (if any) crazy shit did they do?

I consider lifting a masculine pursuit so wouldn’t want to date any chick that was seriously into it. Very likely some mental instability.
It would be like a chick dating a guy who is into nail vanish and boy bands. :D

But even the ones who are in this type of shape (obviously not this hot though) seem a bit nuts.

Hmm...I lifted in high school for XC and track, so that's how I started. I don't consider myself a serious lifter, and I don't look like one. I like lifting for the some of the same reasons I like running. You can't debate miles or the clock, and with lifting, you can't really debate weight or reps...it's a way to objectively gauge progress, and I consider that very rewarding. I don't want to be too thin and shapeless, so if anything, I lift to look MORE feminine. I like feeling strong and knowing that I can handle some physical work that some other women can't.
Reasons why some women who lift are insane:
1. Hate that powerless feeling that sometimes accompanies being a woman
2. Body dysmorphia
3. Desire to be "one of the boys" because they hate themselves and therefore also hate other women

Oooh thought of another reason. This applies to women who get super muscular
4. "wearing fat as armor" could also be the same as "wearing muscle as armor" --people protect themselves from one fear or another by looking a certain way.

I dated a female lifter BB (ifbb pro)...all seemed normal for about 3 months.. After that fits of jealousy and insecurity seep into the mix, then bouts of anger and mood swings. It didn't end well. she ended up taking a trip to the pokey for a night after one violent episode.
Women who lift are fine, women on drugs are not. They are batshit crazy, stay the fuck away from them. :P

My girlfriend lifts, but she doesn't go overboard.... it just gives shape to her legs & arms. What's not to like?
Everybody should lift 2-3x a week, it improves your appearance and quality of life. No need to take it further than that, unless you truly enjoy it

My wife lifts 4x a week, does hard conditioning 4x week (sometimes they overlap), is a great wife and a great mother. She can cook and she knows how to keep me happy.
And she's insane. ;)

My older sister was treated very badly by our stepfather (as was I) growing up, and her real father passed away when she was very young. She became quite promiscuous and had 3 kids from 3 different guys, but eventually lost the children to a relative because she was very selfish and couldn't look after them as they deserved. She got a few tattoos (shitty ones) spent a lot of time partying and doing class A drugs until eventually meeting a guy who runs a gym in my town (great guy, scars all over his face, coke dealer, drives 100k cars but never worked in his life lol) the point of all this background information is................
Last year she became a female bodybuilder and jumped on the gear LOL ;D
Case in point, my sister was a nutter before she turned to BB.

It's a real shame that the majority of these hotties are nuts. I guess the fantasy is always better than the reality.
