Debuting in 1962, Spider-man has continued to be the most beloved comic book character in popular fiction... and a character I've always identified with. Even as a child, Spidey was the character that exemplified the world of superheroes better than any other. Whenever I saw the guy on a comic book cover it always seemed to capture my imagination on a level that no other character could. Listed here are the 25 covers that meant the most... :)

#24 & #20
Great cartoon too. Loved it as a kid

Have always enjoyed Spiderman until the most recent version of him hit the big screen. It's as bad as "Noah" without all the animals but with all the stupidity.
By the way, I enjoy the ones where Spidey teamed with Superman!
Enjoy your site, Indie-lad. Thanks!

No Todd McFarland cover in top 25? Definitely not objective. Should be top 3.

If you read the article I listed the greatest covers that inspired me.
Always hated the McFarlane stuff back in the day. I was never a fan, but I won't deny his impact and talent.

Was a better arc when Spiderman teamed up with Jesus and James Bond

Did not see that version. I thought for certain the film was somehow involved with Peter Jackson. That idiot re-writes everything. No worries.

Worries about what Scott?
That George R R Martin is going to write The Amazing Spoderman 3?

Loved it when Spidey swung out into the countryside. ;D

Oops, sorry. I meant not a problem about Peter Jackson and his ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. His Hobbit films for example, while visually stunning don't really follow the book all that much.
"Noah" was just as bad as if he had directed it. ;D

I seriously question your judgement. No McFarlane Era covers (epic bullshit). No Erik Larsen covers (more bullshit). Your list blows Hulk nuts.

loved the movie back in the times

Nice, Falcon was really a character and not just an moviemakers idea.
( the cover with Cap and Falcon )
Spidey was never my favourites. One good story comes to mind.
Spider-man and Wolverine batteled it out on some greveyard in Berlin.
Wolverine won because to beat him, spider-man would have had to kill him and he doesn't do that.

Nice.
Comic was simply: Spider-man versus Wolverine one-shot from 1987.

There were some really cool covers in the "Kraven's Last Hunt" storyline. I'd like to see that storyline appear in a movie. There were some nice covers with Green Goblin and Hobgoblin. I really like some of McFarlane's stuff.

Yeah, I had that series when I was younger.... Is that the one where Kraven buries spidey then takes his place for a month before spidey comeback from the grave? Mike Zeck was the artist. That was a great stroy.
I used to be thr proud owner of punishers first appearance. I think it was spiderman #129. That comic used be worth some money. Not sure what its worth is now.
