Clive Bundy said of black people: “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail because they never learned how to pick cotton. And, I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy.”

Weird that anyone who would endorse shoving women to the front of the riot (they're trying to incite) in order to get female blood on the road to enjoy more press... would also be a stone cold fcking racist.
His desired abuse of women, complete disrespect for our nation's laws... how many signs did people need?

for SoulCrusher....more, many more. Until Sean Hannity disavows him, SC will keep the faith. [Glenn Beck has already cut Al Bundy's cousin off]

He said his black brothers are being cheated by the govt out of the American dream because of socialist policies. He is dead right about that. He could have avoided that one sentence and probably should have.
Does not change the fact that the govt is still acting like thugs here
-
He could have avoided that one sentence and probably should have.
Um, "he could have avoided this one sentence"?
He clearly says some truly racist and fcked up stuff with that one sentence. Maybe he stayed "on message" and didn't reveal his ugly side the other minutes of the interview. But he said this on his own - it's exactly how he feels.

Who is this "most"? Most of your Klan brothers, maybe, but that's about it, you fucking fool.

Oh, yeah, good point, lol. Enslavement sounds better than all of that, no doubt.
Holy shit, SC. What WON'T you say just to get attention, you embarrassing freak?

the TRUE conservatives kept pointing out that the dude was selectively following federal laws when it was handy for him. He doesn't recognize them, but he pays federal taxes cause he'd go to jail otherwise. but he knew he couldn't be criminally prosecuted for disobeying this particular federal BLM law thing, so he ignored it for 20 years and gained quite a strategic advantage over his competitors by not paying the fees than they had to pay.
He's more of an expoliter than a true patriot... and the 'red meat' conservative media loved him when he was inciting near-riots and dissing obama. The TRUE conservatives pointed out that he wasn't pure on any of it - just dodging paying fees, yelling catch phrases, and now we see, he's a stone-cold racist that just doesn't like to pay bills.

I had meant "watch it!!!" with regards to your comment, ...however I did watch that long ass boring clip, and agree. Even out of context, he doesn't make a good case for himself. Clearly Mr. Bundy is from a different era, and without a doubt is NOT the more articulate fellow. I do understand what he was struggling to say, even if he himself was unable to say it.
The media is exploiting the "letters of his words" rather than reporting on "the spirit" of them.
In all fairness to the media, they'd be damned if they had instead expressed his idea, rather than his literal statement. It c/would easily be interpreted as glossing over, covering up, and/or concealing the severity of his words.

How is this different from any other person, entrepreneur, corporation etc.?
Isn't that what most people do when it comes to gov't taxes... striving to pay only the legal minimums?
If there is a legal loophole that does not require you to pay, would put you financially at risk were you to pay it, and could potentially strip you of your rights were you to pay it, ...would YOU, or anyone else in their right minds pay it?
By your argument, he's supposed to let excess gov't fees drive him out of business, because his competition allowed those same excess fees to drive them out of business. As an entrepreneur he found a competitive edge in the marketplace, and used it to his advantage. It's no different than someone who builds a better mouse trap.
He's more of an expoliter than a true patriot... and the 'red meat' conservative media loved him when he was inciting near-riots and dissing obama.
Perhaps, ...but no one should scorn an individual who exploits loopholes in laws, especially when those laws were implemented for the sole purposes of screwing over that individual to begin with.
Of course I don't extend the same generosity to multi-nationals who buy the politicians and in many cases write the darned bills themselves. That's not exploiting a competitive advantage you find, that's just corporate tyranny.
The TRUE conservatives pointed out that he wasn't pure on any of it - just dodging paying fees, yelling catch phrases, and now we see, he's a stone-cold racist that just doesn't like to pay bills.
He's the worst kind of racist that exists... the unconscious racist. :'(

I dont think there's a legal loophole here. The court has a judgment against him for 1.1 million and they're taking his cattle. I know he disagreed with there even being a federal fee. But in the country he lives in, that's the law, and he abided by many other laws, just not this one. Maybe it was an advantage in that he got away with it for 20 years instead of 20 months, I'll give him that.
I didn't know that paying the fee could hurt him, haven't followed the story closely lately.

This guy is an idiot and nobody would be defending him at all except a goddam swat team descended on his farm...a lot of folks instantly though about Ruby ridge and wanted to help him out. The right has already distanced themselves from him. Some blacks have fallen in love with free shit and the victim mentality. they expect the Dems to rescue them. If the blacks as a whole get rescued their gonna figure out they're getting screwed...and no longer vote lib dem.

That statement in itself is racist and prejudicial. I guess that means you wouldn't be around either.
Who is talking about killing racists? I'm talking about educating them, ...as in a Zombie Apocalypse.
The Zombie Apocalypse is not a bunch rotting, maggot infested corpses, suddenly rising up from being buried 6 feet under the earth. An Apocalypse is not a mass dying off, but rather a mass awakening. Therefore, a Zombie Apocalypse is a mass awakening of the spiritually dead, mentally ignorant, and the emotionally impaired. Look around, ...it's happening as I type.
I speak only from personal experience, and it has been my experience that there are far greater numbers of racists among populations considered to be "lacking in colour." Racism is so systemically entrenched, there are far greater numbers of unconscious racists among the population lacking in colour, as they derive benefit from a system that maintains their privileges. However, more & more 'under privileged' people of all ethnicities are waking up to the inherent bias in the system, and as with anything else, those who derive benefit from the system are often the last to recognize it's flaws. And many who do recognize it's flaws occasionally develop Stockholm Syndrome, siding with the very system that oppresses them behaving like crabs in a barrel. ie: "I got screwed over, so you should be too" "how dare you figure a way to get out from under that thumb of oppression, when I'm still under it's jackboot. You should be just as screwed as me"
-

After learning more about the guy - he's racist, he hasn't recognized the govt in 20 years, he has millions in cattle on govt lands, millions of $$ in income on the line... and the fact that anyone who observes the guy for 2 minutes realizes he's angry, loud and perhaps a tad unpredictable... and he probably owns a SHITload of guns (legally of course).
Well, only an IDIOT would walk up there with a clipboard and tell him they're removing his cattle/livelihood. Only a FOOL would walk up there unarmed. NONE of us would try to remove the property of such a dude, right?
The SWAT team prevented a 'misunderstanding'. They didn't touch him. They didn't shoot anyone. Did they even point guns? Woudl love to see evidence of that, other than the word of a, well, you know...
I see NOTHING wrong with bringing along security IN CASE a dude that doesn't even recognize their fcking ability to govern him, decides to do something violent. Common sense. They weren't delivering mail to an old man. They were seizing the property of an admittedly armed separist.
Also -
“Since when does the government send armed officers to collect a debt?” (Hannity) Many repossession and foreclosure actions often involve a sheriff or other armed officials, and confiscation of property is an ordinary means by which a government resolves a debt.
-
they bring 2 armed sheriffs to a door in south florida when they serve eviction notice. That's after 3 or 6 months of non-payment.
Now, multiply getting kicked out of a rental home... VERSUS removing the cattle worth millions... from a guy you know has guns, who has ignored your orders for 20 years. In the middle of a ranch in rural nevada? Dude could cap you and bury you in the yard and nobody would ever know anything. Crazy.
YES, you're going to bring armed men there. yes, that's common sense. HOW MANY did they send? Cause one trained guy with an AR-15 can easily chop down 6 men standing on his porch if he has the advantage of a curtain and surprise.
If I'm in charge of serving papers out there, Yes, I'm going to bring ten men and fan out anytime I have to tell crazy old armed guys I'm taking all their cattle.

Ive had the opposite experience. The most racist people I have ever encountered were black. In every case they justified their racism with a smug self-righteous sense of entitlement. Because of some perceived historical slight they feel they have the right to hate.

You know what you get with a swat team and snipers...u get militia groups eager to take a shot at the Government. If you bring two deputies you get no national attention...shit was blown out of proportion.

well, they've certainly BEGGED the swat team and snipers to act. They didn't. Not at his ranch, not at the protest, even when they did block the road and really work to create a confrontation (which they admit).
So we can say "well, in 1995, they would have done this..." which is what Bundy said. But their ACTIONS were not waco. They stood there and kept a lookout.
Seriously, you would send TWO sheriff's to tell an armed anti-govt guy that you're about to remove his cattle and thus very possibly ruin his family business, lose home, etc?
It only got national attention because dude screamed about WACO and slow news month for FOX.
And we never know... woudl he have opened fire on 2 deputies? WOuld there have been a "misunderstanding" and the only evidence is 2 dead cops and this racist's WORD that they drew first?
Strategically, they send 2 cops here to a residence in case someone wants a battle. Sometimes more. Cause one guy CAN take out a few cops, but he can't take out a SWAT team. These dudes are just running drills all day anyway, i have zero problem with making them actually drive out to locations and do nothing but stand there. Sure, sucks. Sure, intimidating. but they were dealing with an armed, anti-govt racist that had IGNORED their polite requests for 20 years. If there had been a shooting, we'd be pissed they looked at this situation and sent in 2 guys to deal with such a potential threat. Signs are there. Dude is screaming about waco, his fmaily WANTED a big showdown.
-
This guy is an idiot and nobody would be defending him at all except a goddam swat team descended on his farm...a lot of folks instantly though about Ruby ridge and wanted to help him out.
Agreed. The Feds overplayed their hand, ...but i suppose thats what you get when you hire a private paramilitary mercenary force against a rancher.
The right has already distanced themselves from him.
He should have hired a publicist

Says the biggest recipient of free gov't shit on the board.
What's the US Gov't military expenditure these days?
Don't get me started on how you & your kind have sucked at the gov't teat for decades, depleted your national treasury, and indebted generations to come, ...all for a bunch of unnecessary Gov't "make work" projects that do not benefit the citizens, but instead impoverishes them, does not make your country safer, but infact endangers it, ...And you justify your own "victim mentality" by citing the deaths of Americans, the independent pursuit of happiness & self-determination by sovereign nations, ...and even the democratic wishes of citizens halfway around the world.
Blowback is a biyatch, ...but it justifies the free shit, higher combat pay, and certainly let's you scream victim and cry like a stuck pig when they object or resist the free gravy train you get, due to your govt's harmful interventions into the affairs of sovereign nations.
Then after using you up & spitting you out, if you even manage to defy the odds and survive the hell they put you in, ... they cut your benefits (more free shit you were promised) leave you to deal with the PSTD on your own, probably hoping the stress will get so bad you commit suicide like so many others.
Perhaps that's why the biggest active duty military support was behind Ron Paul who wanted to stem the flow of red ink/blood in the military, and put you all out of work.
Those who live in glass houses, should not throw stones!

There is absolutely zero moral consistency

Guffaw! Some "perceived" historical slight? You work your ass off at the point of a whip, building the country, yet do not get to benefit from your labour, and are considered 2/5ths of a man, not entitled to the rights entrenched within the Constitution? ...and to you that is a "perceived slight?" I'm done with you. My time is too valuable to be spent discussing anything with such a fvcking idiot. Sorry, don't mean to get all ad hom on you, but I have no kinder or diplomatic words to describe you other than fvcking idiot. lol.

Youre using the same tactic of self-righteous rationalization. It's morally wrong to justify hating someone because of events they did not participate in or have the power to prevent or change. The events you reference have nothing to do with me. I am neither responsible nor do I feel an ounce of guilt.
-

What I meant was the historical slight was not directed at them as an individual. They arent entitled to transfer a historical offense that did not happen to them directly on to themselves or place blame for the historical slight on others who have no involvement in said slight at all. They perceive this slight as personal when it is not.

I'm not saying you or anyone else today was responsible or had the power to prevent it.
However, common sense should at least permit you to recognize the overwhelming advantage such a system gave to those who were responsible, ...an advantage that was passed down to their heirs. And when i say "heirs", i'm not just referring to their biological heirs, ...but all those who benefit from the privileges such systemic racism confers. The color of an individual's skin is not justification for hate. However an ignorant sense of self importance, combined with the failure to recognize your own unfair advantage can be a sure fire recipe for disdain & contempt. It's like when Gwyneth Paltrow claimed to have never been the beneficiary of privilege, claiming to have achieved all her success on her own. She experienced quite the backlash, which IMO was justified. That's not to say she didn't work hard, she did, but her failure to acknowledge she was Hollywood Royalty trying to run a 150 metre dash starting at the 140 metre mark punctuated an astonishing level of ignorance. Your words convey the same delusional ignorance demonstrated by Paltrow's statements.
Bottom line: Racism is caused by and due to ignorance. Most often ignorance on the part of the hater,
...but in your case, it sounds to me like possibly ignorance on the part of the hated.
Btw: Have you ever stopped to consider the possibility that perhaps the Black people who have hated on you, did so, not because you're white, ...but because you're a truly clued-out ignorant little fvck? ??? just a thought.
Now Fvck off and stop responding calmly and articulately. I want to be done with you & your ignorance.

Oh so now, you're going to tell a Black person how they feel, enlightening them to their own perceptions?
Blacks are being negatively affected TODAY as a result of these historical offences.
It's NOT ancient history, ..it's legacy is ALIVE, and affecting people's lives. It becomes very personal.
Now Fvck off!!! I mean it, I have to get to the gym before it starts raining. lol

Economic disadvantage does not justify racist behavior. Dont make more excuses for bad behavior. Its odd that you call me ignorant when all I'm saying is that justifying racism is wrong and that moral consistency is a necessity. Blacks should be held to the same moral standards as everyone else.

Not all hatred is racism.
Not all Black who hate whites hate them for the colour of their skin.
Sometimes a Black person can hate a white person cause he's an idiot who needs a good slap or two.
Now I'm off to the gym! >:(

I never said it was always racism. I didn't make generalizations based on race, you did. It was your comment about few whites being around if all racists died that started it all. The whole time throwing insults while I've been nothing but civil.

My generalization was not based on race, ...it was rooted in observations based upon my personal experiences.

Thats is pretty much what you said.
Somehow I get the feeling there would be few people (not of color) left on the earth.

Clive Bundy said of black people: “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail because they never learned how to pick cotton. And, I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy.”
Yeah, it's bad. But how come you don't bitch about when a left wing politician or public figure says worse? MUCH WORSE! Seems your thread might be a one sided and racist, Vince.

Any examples?

Sharpton has said and done worse and they gave him a tv show. Go figure.

Typical can't see the forest through the tree's ::), This isn't about Bundy, this is about the .gov, bundy just happened to be the guy .gov fucked up with.........
-
bundy is a racist. nobody denies that.
bundy picks and chooses which laws to follow.
bundy has a history of whining because he disagreed with how many police came to peacefully serve him paperwork and begin seiures.
So already, this dude is a mess, willing to go on tv and trash en entire race and call for his landlocked state to separate from the USA LOL...
Again,,, you're serving a paper saying "we are taking all your shit'' to a gun packing rancher that doesn't recognize your authority.... lol... do you REALLY want to send two deputies to that door? Does anyone here REALLY want to be the guy holding the paperwork while this dude decides whether or not to start Civil War II?
Dudes, I would want NO PART of that front porch job. Not without a SWAT team with me. Any getbigger that says they'd jog up to that porch wearing a fed badge to a dude that doesnt believe in the fed govt lol.....

Hmmmm , you could easily replace Bundy with Government.........
The revolution started because of the same kinda shit
-
Bundy claims to not recognize the federal government but I suspect he somehow manages to "recognizes" our currency when he wants to get paid
-
I guess it would have been too easy for the government to levy the property instead come in with 200 armed agents. That was waste of OUR money.
-

the cows?

the cows?
They have him a fine of $1mil which is total bullshit to begin with. They said it was because of a "turtle" and now it's grazing. Shoot him or levy HIS property?

were there really 200 armed agents? Link to proof? Cause that sounds pretty high.
Most SWAT teams have what, 5 to 12 people with specific tasks, and all marksmen. larger cities have 60 or more, since they might be dealing with 3 or 4 crisis at once, say in LA.
Where does this 200 agents number come from? PLEASE tell me you have a pic, not the word of a guy that hates black people and wants nevada to secede and pushes women to get hurt in riots he's trying to incite... he's not credible.
Link to 200 armed swat members coming to his door????
UNLESS you're talking about when a huge protest of 1000+ people showed up with guns and ready for a riot - if THAT is the day you're talking about, then yes, heck yes, 200 police is VERY reasonable to control 100o people looking for a fight.
Where was the 200? and HOW MANY came to his door?
-
what property?
if he had a lot of property, his 900 cattle probably would have been on that, instead of mooching fed lands witohut paying that fee.
the argument has now shifted to "well, maybe the govt had too many troops there, but he should have paid his bill like everyone else, he should have not pushed women to the front of the line, he should have not said all that racist shit..."
His beef is "too many cops were at my door, at ranch in middle of NV, when they served me paperwork for failing to obey a govt I don't recognize for 20 years".
Getbiggers are now doing that quiet retreat they did with zimmerman.

First of all this is the BLM not a swat team.
Then the rest of your crap he's not credible, he's a racist .............
There is a lot more to this issue than grazing on ".gov" land.
I guess you think .gov should just be able to do whatever it wants, legal or not, constitutional or not.
Don't want to do what Uncle Sugar tells you? Well force you! The .gov doesn't get to fuck people over to line their or their families pockets

Who said there is anything patriotic about Bundy?
this is about .gov doing unethical shit to line the pockets of the "elite".
Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you people? All you can do is focus on the shiney object the MSM dangles in front of you, and miss the big picture.
No wonder this country is in decline

Isnt bundy lining his pockets at tax payers expense? Hes profitting off of public land. Where is the tax payers cut? He doesnt pay to maintain the land he uses.

100% true my dear. But that goes for all races, colors, and creeds.
-

Do a little reading, not just what some talking head spouts off in a 2 min blurb on the news. 20 years and .gov does nothing about the evil racist Bundy, you might want to ask yourself why that is.

Because the government usually works at a sloths pace. Why do you think it takes years for the government to notice that some people have evaded taxes?
In this case, 20 years was enough. Now, in your opinion, why do you think this Bundy guy deserves a break?
-

The government also remembers ruby ridge and waco and doesnt want a repeat. In my opinion, this is why the feds backed down.

Isnt bundy lining his pockets at tax payers expense? Hes profitting off of public land. Where is the tax payers cut? He doesnt pay to maintain the land he uses.
So you think it's OK for the BLM to simple decide to raise the grazing fee's so high as to put ranchers out of business? Where exactly did this un-elected entity get that power? And why is this land under federal control and not the state of Nevada? Hell Al Sharpton owes more in taxes than Bundy owes in range fee, where is the 200 man assault team taking him down? If this should actually make it to court, .gov thinks it is going to loose, why else do you think the show of force?
-

Bundy should either pay the grazing fees (on land he does not own) or, keep his 900 cattle on his own land.
I hear Scott's feed keeps the grass happy.

Oh I see, so if .gov doesn't enforce a "law" and I use the term loosely in this case, is it really a "law"? Or is it only enforced when .gov or one of their family members stand to gain from it?
So be a good little surf and do what .gov tells you.......

Why should he pay a fee that was set so high as to intentionally destroy people's livelihoods? You don't see a problem with this? What if .gov decides that to drive on the "public" roads you need to pay 1000 toll ever 10 miles? You think that is acceptable?
-

No, because it's hard to keep track of billions of people. It's our job (as law abiding citizens) to follow the laws placed by our government and state.
Lets not mix words here: The U.S. government is absolutely a business. How do you think they get the money to fund anything?
But.... It has been the same basic system since man began to create cities. It is all humanity knows.

Were other ranchers paying the same fees?

Sure, there may be aspects of this situation that are unfair. He doesnt have to use public land. Hes assuming a risk when he does.

No, it is our duty to follow constitutional laws, not any law the .gov decides to put on the books.
How do they get money to pay for anything? It's collected in taxes, I see it every 2 weeks when they rape my paycheck, or fill the truck up with gas ( although you don't actually see how much tax you pay on a gallon of gas, wonder why that is?)
Show me in the constitution where the BLM is and it's right to level fee's how ever they see fit and I will concede the argument to you.

The other ranchers were put out of business or has to move else where, but that's not important, Bundy is an evil racist ::)
-

Again I will ask, where does the BLM get the power to raise fee's as to destroy people's livelihoods? I've never seen a slot on the ballot for the head of the BLM. Is it a tax or a fee? And what is the difference? If a tax I was under the impression that only congress has that power.
-

Sooo you say it's our duty to follow archaic laws drawn up in the 1700's, but not to follow modern laws? Modern laws were drawn up to reflect our ever changing society.
Which makes this situation the perfect example. Bundy's shit would have flown in the 1800's, but this is not the wild west anymore.
The U.S. government owns all land that is not bought by an individual. It is as simple as that.
This Bundy guy thinks he is Wyatt Earp.

Very valid points. However, knowing the fees existed he still decided to use the land.

Really? the only thing you listed the the federal government pays for is the troops, the states have to pay for their police, teachers, firefighters............
Have you ever actually read the constitution? It's apparent you really have no understanding of how things work.
What law did he break? You haven't provided and constitutional provision for the BLM, so what law can they create and/or enforce?

I consider the government on all levels. Not just the Whitehouse.
What law did he break? HE DOES NOT OWN THE LAND THAT HIS CATTLE HAS BEEN GRAZING ON.
If a person or a pet came on your land, it would be called trespassing.

It does not have to. It should be implied.
The United States of America owns all land that is not bought by someone.
Im not talking about small lot with a house on it.
Im talking about vast stretches of land, all across the U.S.
The government absolutely owns it.

So are we going back to 1492, when anyone can put a stick in the ground and claim the land?
If it is not owned by a person, company, or bank, it belongs to the U.S. government.
What constitutional statute? When we won the war against the British.

Wrong yet again.
Then what exactly is the point of having states as in United STATES of America?
Why does each state elect its own government and representatives to the federal government?
Hell it appears you would just as happy to abolish all states and let the federal government run everything. Hell maybe they can appoint a governor to each "province" to rule with an iron fist. While were at it why not just anoint a king to rule. Oh wait that is why we fought a war against the British in the first place.
If anything the land in question belongs to the state of Nevada.

Well then, you admit that the land does not belong to Bundy.
Case closed.

Case re-opened, the BLM is a federal agency, so where is there authority over the land? If it belongs to the state of Nevada then the claim of owing "fee's" by the BLM is invalid. Bundy owe's nothing and the show of force by the federal government is illegal and Bundy should sue.

Did the citizens of the state of Nevada agree that bundy could use public land? She should have appealed to the people

yeah, there's a smaller and smaller window for this guy to be "right" and his actions to be just.
to back him now, you're in the camp of "the whole system is flawed, man, and any person should be able to use any land he doesn't own, at any time."
Sure, it sucks that the "govt" owns some lands, but that's the case in, say, 100% of countries in the world. Sure it sucks they started charging fees in 1993, but all other ranchers obeyed. He's had an AMAZING advantage for 20 years, skipping that HUGE operating cost that all other ranchers paid.
It's really great to see so many conservatives saying this dude is wrong. They're not just knee-jerk supporting cause the dude is wrapping himself in "obama sucks" and "guvment is mean to me!" cover.

The states are nothing more than modern day satraps.
They think they do, but if the states ever grow some balls they can tell the .gov to go pound sand and there is no a fucking thing .gov can do about it. Problem is that since the federal income tax was enacted the states are begging at the trough of .gov. From a constitutional stand point .gov is not in power.
What is congress made up of? Representatives from each state - maybe you should look up the meaning of the word representative
-
Did the citizens of the state of Nevada agree that bundy could use public land? She should have appealed to the people
I believe he had an agreement with the county for which he did pay the land use fee's the problem is .gov

You have not proven that the federal government can lay claim to this land, so your childish emotion driven bullshit is invalid, not unlike 99.9% of the arguments you make.
You get on here a rail about rule of law, but when .gov chooses not to enforce or out right break said laws its A OK in 240's book.

Article VI of the Constitution makes federal law "the supreme law of the land," ... Despite the efforts of some states, even today, to "nullify" federal laws

Because the government usually works at a sloths pace. Why do you think it takes years for the government to notice that some people have evaded taxes?
In this case, 20 years was enough. Now, in your opinion, why do you think this Bundy guy deserves a break?
No.
He was told to stop grazing because it was claimed that the tortoise or turtle, what ever they are, were endangared. The BLM started PURCHASING grazing privileges from the cattle owners. THEY WERE PURCHASING THEM BECAUSE THEY REALIZED THEIR ANCESTORS had their cattle grazing there way before BLM came into existence. To deal with those that refused to sell their privileges they punished them by imposing fines. Bundy is the only one who did not cave in.
Now, this all started with feds claiming that the desert tortoise was endangared and their habitat would be treathened by cattle grazing. Guess what? They are no longer endangered. They have made a comeback. So if the tortoise are no longer endangered, WHY IS IT STILL DESIGNATED AS A FEDERAL CONSERVATION LAND? It can't continue to be protected land for NO REASON. Once the species is no longer endangared, it should seize to be conservation land.
Funny how does "laws" don't apply when there is pro-green, environmental agenda. I bet there would be no hesitation to use the land to put up wind turbines.
Sort of like when the same democrats who claim we are a "nation of laws" don't want to enforce the current immigration laws.
-
Article VI of the Constitution makes federal law "the supreme law of the land," ... Despite the efforts of some states, even today, to "nullify" federal laws
It makes the constitution the supreme law of the land, per the 10th amendment the states enact laws that are not in violation of the constitution.
I fail to see why this is so difficult for someone of you to comprehend.

You have not proven that the federal government can lay claim to this land, so your childish emotion driven bullshit is invalid, not unlike 99.9% of the arguments you make.
Doesn't the fed govt have a deed to this land? I mean, they claim it, they own it. that's how it works. it's how it works in every nation in the civilized nation, right? You can't just "find" land that nobody is on and let your animals eat/shit there?
In order for Bundy to be "right", this has to turn into a huge debate into whether or not people should be able to eat/shit on land that they don't own.

How many fucking times do I have to say it, show me in the Constitution of the United States where the federal government has the ability to claim land. If you can't then any land they claim is illegal and unconstitutional end of story. I don't give 2 shits what other countries do, we are talking about the USA.
And what exactly is this precious piece of land used for by the BLM? Nothing, the simple fact that someone actually has a purpose for it and doesn't fall into line with .gov is a domestic terrorist?
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Socialist.

were you the getbigger that used to argue with me over and over about there "technically" not being any proof that hermann cain ever did anything wrong? I thought that was you, maybe not, but that rings a bell.
Anyway, they claim it, so that's how it is. Americans or companies cannot just set up shop anywhere they want. That's how it is. it USED to be lands were unmanaged and people got away with it. That's not how it is anymore, since 1993.
Anyway, this guy didn't follow the law - He didn't fight it either, right? He just IGNORED it, instead of taking them to court and arguing it. IN this country, you can't just ignore laws and win. Fight it in court, who knows, you might win.
But IGNORING them, (because you don't even recognize the govt exists), and just continuing to use their resources... well, that's not how it works. Maybe you can show "but but but but the exact wording isn't in there", well, the constitution doesn't include a lot of things, but there are a lot of rules and laws and expectations that people need to follow.
Courts decided against him, so any argument from getbig to the contrary is pretty moot anyway. He enjoyed 1.1 million advantage over his competitors for 20 years. He made a million bucks they didn't, if you think about it. Because they followed law, and he didn't.
-
Nonsensical bullshit
Maybe you didn't notice the 10th amendment? That makes what .gov is doing completely unconstitutional and illegal.
And no I didn't argue about Herman Cain that I can remember

100% true my dear. But that goes for all races, colors, and creeds.
Is the "But..." qualifier really necessary?
Wasn't my initial statement that you highlighted in red, inclusive enough? ???
-
No, because it's hard to keep track of billions of people. It's our job (as law abiding citizens) to follow the laws placed by our government and state.
Lets not mix words here: The U.S. government is absolutely a business. How do you think they get the money to fund anything?
But.... It has been the same basic system since man began to create cities. It is all humanity knows.
They borrow it at interest from a private entitity that prints it into existence, out of thin air.
They then tax the poop out of you, me, and our progeny for generations to come, in order to repay the unrepayable.
-
No, it is our duty to follow constitutional laws, not any law the .gov decides to put on the books.
Uh, No! It is the Govt's duty to follow the Constitution. The Constitution is a directive for the gov't not the people. It is YOUR duty to ensure that they do.
-
Sooo you say it's our duty to follow archaic laws drawn up in the 1700's, but not to follow modern laws? Modern laws were drawn up to reflect our ever changing society.
Which makes this situation the perfect example. Bundy's shit would have flown in the 1800's, but this is not the wild west anymore.
The U.S. government owns all land that is not bought by an individual. It is as simple as that.
This Bundy guy thinks he is Wyatt Earp.
Those "archaic" laws were drawn up to restrict the government, then, now, and into the future.
The modern laws were drawn up, NOT to reflect your changing society, ...but rather in fact 'to change your society'.
-
LOL, what the fuck country do you live in?
ROTFLMAO!!! And here I thought this "Common Core" was a recent thing. Looks like Shizzo is the product of a common core public school education. Wow!!! I'm Black, not even American, ...but even I can see that as distasteful as Bundy may be as an individual, the issue still remains about the land, and the BLM's claims to jurisdiction & clear title.

Serious question. How can you condemn this man for his comments while saying barely a word about MSNBC allowing a man like Al Sharpton to have a television program? What's worse, some uneducated old man rambling or giving a bigot, charlatan and someone who had a hand in inciting murder a platform to spew his stupidity? Where is the moral and ethical consistency?

I've never understood people who try to make that kind of false argument
Is there some kind of racist offset program in this country where we each racist statement on the left creates an offset for a racist statement from right?
How about they are both fucking idiots
Oh wait, I forget, the Supreme Court has recently determined that racism no longer exists in America

What kind of argument? That wrong is wrong? That making a major news story out of Sterling and Bundy but giving others a pass is not morally consistent and is wrong? Do you still watch Sharptons program or any other program on MSNBC? Dont you feel the least bit hypocritical? You're a very myopic thinket.
-
The only defense of Bundy is "the person criticizing him didn't criticize sharpton, therefore his argument is invalid"?
-

Youre falsely assuming I'm defending bundy which I'm not and never have. It does not follow that I agree with one person because I criticize his detractors. Sorry but thats just ignorant. I just want an insight into how people think about things and be willfully bias.

Im asking you as a person why you seem to be so outraged by one example of ignorance but not another? Do you watch Sharpton or MSNBC?

Im asking you as a person why you seem to be so outraged by one example of ignorance but not another? Do you watch Sharpton or MSNBC?
I'm asking you why you are even bringing up Sharton
He has nothing to do with Bundy
And to answer your question I have never defended Sharpton, I don't watch his show, I think he is a buffoon and I barely watch MSNBC.
The only show I ever watch (and it's maybe once a week) is O'Donnell. I stopped watching that station after they fired Olberman
Again, I don't understand the premise of bringing up an idiot on the left as if it somehow creates an offsetting credit for an idiot on the right
Finally (because I'm leaving for the morning and don't have time for a dialogue), I don't think you'll find "outrage" from me about Bundy and I'm aware that you're not defending him (I've read your posts)
I think Bundy is just another idiot (for example, claims not to "recognize" the government yet no doubt is glad to exchange goods and services for the legal tender of the country he doesn't think exists")
If I have an issue with anyone in this saga it's the idiots running around with guns, acting aggressively, clearly trying to incite violence, using women as shields, etc....
Those are the people who I find to be outrageous
-

Im curious about how people like yourself prioritize whats wrong. And how you can feel comfortable watching Sharpton comment on Bundys racism without feeling the least guilty or hypocritical. I wonder how you can watch MSNBC comment on bundy and sterling knowing they employ sharpton and have jackson as a regular guest. I dont understand the disconnect.

you asked "show me in the Constitution of the United States where the federal government has the ability to claim land".
Eminent Domain? What exactly is the land be used for that would warrant that?

OK so the territory was "won" in a conflict, then it became a state, at that point Nevada is subject to the constitution. There is the question of the constitutionality of Manifest Destiny.

New BLM chief plans to make Bundy 'accountable'
LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- The head of the Bureau of Land Management says federal agents will make sure Cliven Bundy and his supporters are held accountable.
Neil Kornze said that Monday during an interview on National Public Radio.
Kornze says Bundy is the only rancher out of 16,000 with grazing permits not paying any fees ...

sickening.
Two of his ranch protesters in the news....
executing two cops... then leaving "don't tread on me" flag and swastika at the scene? Then wasting a permit holder at Walmart?
They're about the WORST thing the right-wing conservative movement could imagine. Heck, the conspiracy theorist could argue these 2 were sent by dems to do exactly what they did - portray the Cliven Bundy group as a bunch of murderous a-holes, and make gun permits look bad at the same time!! Doubly shitty!
Granted, I'm no fan of the Bundy protesters - they blocked traffic and stopped people and DEMANDED THEIR PAPERS. They absolutely violated the Consitution they claimed they loved so much - bending it only when it helped them. They put WOMEN on the protest FRONT LINES and dared police to beat them - and they admitted it - because they wanted more national coverage, and thought bloodied women would sell better.

haha excellent! They were too extreme for them. Not that they weren't pricks - stopping americans and demanding to see their "papers" is as anti-Constitution as it gets. But it's good to see they were removed.

and if these two had been some sort of left wing radicals you'd have 50 threads about it already, probably all by only one or two people
instead they were far right wing radicals so you don't hear a word about it on this board
Specifically, the center/left posters on this board don't lose their minds and go on a 5 day posting spree and the right wingers (~ 80% of this board) never even bother to mention these two (who share points of view with some of our craziest posters, targeted and gunned down 2 police officers. The writings of these two nutbags would not have looked out of place for some of the crazier/insane posters on this board.

Oh, yeah, because retarded leftists have never labeled the GOP as racist based on the action of a very small segment of the extreme right. Nor have they posted hundreds of threads about, nor posted articles on that subject.

dude, why haven't you started a thread or 10 or 20 threads about these domestic terrorists

sure thing,
feel free to bump those hundreds of threads or even just the most recent 100
fact is that if these two idiots had any ties to the left wing we would have had 50 threads in the last 48 hours and like I said, they would have come from 1 or 2 posters on this board in a marathon frenzy of self induced mania and paranoia

Correct. But, these leftist retard, like strawboy, have selective memory. Remember when they tried to claim the Giffords' shooter as a right wing nut job?
I am still waiting for proof that "racist" Tea party supporters spat on blacks.
