That's the platinum package. It costs an extra K, but does come with a personalised birthday message from Deshawn Grimez.

5k/yr sounds reasonable.

You left out Dennis James, Chad Nichols, Milos Sarcev, and a bunch of others more prominent than those guys.

And they make whatever the person enlisting their services can afford based on their sponsorships, coverage in the magazines, guestposings. There can't be a flat fee for a pro BB client. For Joe Blow? Yeah, no doubt, they squeeze them. But for someone who's got an IFBB card, they have every reason to keep that person around, so they probably get free plane tickets, meals, etc. rather than lump sums every 2 weeks.

Are they really gurus or are they bodybuilding drug dealers who give advice on dosage? Does a pro bodybuilder really need someone to tell them do 4 sets of 10 with an ez curl bar and then count the reps.

Better spent on GH....

Paying for last week carb-up/sodium/water manipulation makes the most sense to me.  Otherwise, I don't think they are worth the money, least of all $10k for Dave "Fucking" Palumbo

How about the guys who just train people? Like Kai has a buddy who trains him, cooks for him, etc.
Saw a vid where they go to Vegas for 7 weeks pre-Olympia, live in a hotel, just training and eating.
MuscleMeds pay for both guys and all their food and room & board? He (trainer) obviously doesn't work a real job...

I guess that old lady and Winklaar would sort of be the same kind of thing? Not a guru, but a babysitter I guess?

opening level amateur contest prep can do 500 to 1000 dollars per prep and not uncommon for a well known contest prep coach to do 50 competitors per year which means very good money on the side on top of their primary source of living.

What we do not hear about is the top national level competitors these gurus prep, we only hear about the pros they prep, in particular the male pros but they still prep figure competitors and bikini and and now physique as well, in the 1000's per prep times x amount of competitors per year puts the top guys well into the 6 figure range easily.

Is it done mostly online coaching?? I assume these guys have local but mostly guys from other states even countries. Not bad to give advice from pics and e-mails

These days it looks like there has been a abundant of "guru" preps coming out of the wood works, looks like anyone can do it as long as u have one of the top guys to learn from

Take my boy Jonathan irrizarry, top amat who uses Hany as his prep coach , now this guy Jonathan coaches tons of local and non local competitors including that teen champ Cody Montgomery

at one point it seemed like anyone can start prepping but a few guys bashing you and your rep falls quickly and not many will take you seriously once this happens. If you help prep someone popular then everyone will ask for your help in abundance.

Usually shows are made up 150 plus entries, it is profitable to cluster clients to one show, that way you have 6 to 10 competitors at the show and can make it a team effort. Would drastically bring down all expenses and you make money in one setting versus being scattered all over the place.

I mean this is real contest prep, online advise to people far away competing in a show that you will not be present is not that profitable, no one would pay big dollars for that.

diet, training, protocols, motivation and even posing are all part of the deal, meeting up once a week or once every 2 weeks, then going to the show accompanying your clients is all part of the deal, 1000 dollars for 1 prep is common if you deliver results and have a goo rep at the regional level and national level
