In flex's novel he said he started using anabolics at age 18 I think. So he's 23 there....only 198. Didn't he compete at over 240 one point? How does a guy gain 50 pounds of muscle 5 years after he's been on gear heavily? Never seemsd like a big insulin user.

For a man that can defeat the League of Shadows single handedly, putting on 50 pounds of muscle is child's play.

Flex won his Pro card at 215 at the age of 27. 93 Ironman supposedly 230ish, 93 Arnold Classic at 216. 93 O 218.
It was only his later yrs that he was at 240.

240 may have been inflated a tad, more like 235 from 198, makes it 37lbs and that would have been done in 8 or 9 years not 5 as parker mentioned he was only 215 in 93, very reasonable.

i remember him stating his weights in a Musclemag interview. And if you look at the vid where he won his Pro card, I believe it said he was 235...he didn't look 235, and was slightly bigger than at the 91 USAs.
His first Pro show was the Ironman, and the vid said 235...which he looked 230ish. Very full. Then the 93 Arnold, where again I think it said 235---but he looked down in weight (using the Ironman as a gauge to how u he needed to lose to come in looking shredded) and closer to his 92 USA weight. And in his Hardbody vid, which was filmed 1 week before the O, he said on camera that he was about 220, but still had some water to lose.

Flex has stated that he was in the 240's for 99 Olympia and British G.P..

whats the deal with his height? find it hard to believe this guy was a legit 5'10
-
if flex weighed 220, he looked 240
if flex weighed 240, he looked 260
if he said he was 245 he was actually 230
if he said he was 230, he was actually 215
big arms, full delts, and big legs combined with a thin back throws off your perception a bit.

If you see him pictured with Ronnie, he is about as tall as Ronnie. This is how he could get away with weighing 215-220 and looking like he was 235.

Flex is definitely about 5'10". I stood next to him twice, i'm a little over 5'9" and he was a hair taller.

The ironman used to weigh people with shoes, jogging pants and sweater as it was not mandatory and people would just jump on scale, hence the 230 was not official and was exaggerated, considering he was 215 at the Arnolds in the same conditioning.
