i think athletes or those who apply themselves to a dedicated athletic pursuit are becoming better/stronger/faster.

Without a doubt Americans are getting huge. When I was a kid the biggest lineman in the NFL were 265lbs. Look at the difference in NBA players. In the 70's many were skinny guys and now they look solid somewhat ripped.

When I was in high school I got a pack of new football cards of NFL players from the old days, 60s or before I think, hardly anyone over 230. :-X

According to this April 29, 2014 story they are weaker. Steroids/gh gains are not passed down to the next generation. :D
Although they will inevitably be able to alter DNA.
