I can't help but smile when I see/read an Uncle Junior thread. He reminds me so much of myself. I have been a member since 2004, but really started posting regularly in 2010.
Nobody can deny that I had my run for a few years. You know the streak guys......If I made a thread, it was almost guaranteed to get a minimum of 100+ replies. I see Junior following the same path. Joon also has brought it to another level with videos on demand, and giving everyone a glimpse into his life.
I enjoy reading Junior's threads. Controversy has been a cornerstone of Getbig since it's inception. Which is why all the heavy hitters over the years deserve recognition. It is the reason why Ron's site is supposedly worth over 2 million dollars.
Carry the torch Junior. You are the most interesting thing going on Getbig right now.

I have just been in WhatApp communication with important man who rules in these matters.
I asked "Shizzo is very entertaining guy and should be allowed to carry on posting on GB without fear or recrimination"
I was told that was fine and pardon has been granted but to tell you the following message and I quote:
"I am only doing this for you, not for him" and to tell you here you can do what you want but "never come to the other place"
Also he said he has more pressing important matters to deal with right and a new focus has been developed.

One thing us getbiggers have in common is that we do some form of workout, the thing i dont get about shizzo is why is he here if he does not workout, how hard is it to drive down to the gym and lift some weights or if you are anti social set up a home gym, that is where i think the hate is coming from being a fat fuck and a drunk who does not workout while posting on a bodybuilding website.
I have a home gym. Let's be honest here. 90% of the people who post here are faceless (that is fine) but don't punish me for being open about who I am, and some of the struggles I go through.
I like bodybuilding. I know all of the major players. I really do intend to get back into shape, and kick this alcohol.
Is it too much for me to ask you guys to help me on this journey?

If you were honest with yourself and us about quitting,you go to A.A.......there is no shame in it and what`s said there,stays there......in fact you don`t have to say a single word and most will tell you to shutup and just listen at first.

He used it to be a showoff, a cad, a man on the town and to be a dickhead. For many Irish people alcohol was to blackout misery and unhappiness. NA and AA are dependent on personal honesty but also on acceptance of the 12 steps. When you don't believe in a higher power and that is a fundamental prerequisite it starts to break down. You have to take personal responsibility for your actions.
It isn't up to a higher power to stop you drinking or taking drugs. It takes personal will power and, more often than not, some catastrophic incident like an overdose, arrest etc for the person themselves to realise.

When I was recovering from drug abuse talked to my therapist about it. Rehab I'd done based on AA hadn't worked...partly because I was atheist, mostly because I thought 12 step system was bs and I had easy access to drugs.
What I posted is true. The founder of AA used alcohol as a privileged dickhead, so had to humble himself. People who have nothing can't be humbled. When they drink it isn't to be extravagant, it is to forget issues. Think both should be treated the same?

I was never a proponent of AA in the beginning,but after having failed at my two zillion attempts to quit alcohol and drugs,AA is what eventually worked for me.....of course I wanted to quit,but having others that had experienced some of the same things that you had experienced was a huge help.

I just couldn't identify with anyone but also, I didn't want to stop. The main reason I stopped was a cut in supply for a few months. It took that to build myself back up - to go out clean, to do certain things clean (even a restaurant was difficult)... now it seems repulsive to me to take it with work the next day or my son to look after. Getting priorities straight takes a break from a substance, whatever it is.
If you fuck up after that it's on you.

Best advice I ever got at AA was from an old salt. He said, "Kid, use whatever's helpful, but all you really have to do is just not drink. But they won't tell you that here." He knew I didn't care for the steps and sharing and whatnot, but he still came through. But you gotta show up to hear it from someone who counts.
Yup,those old bastards knew what they were talking about.....too bad for me that I didn`t listen sooner.
I hated all those fucking cliche`s,but after getting sober,I came to find out that every fucking one of them had some truth to it.

I return (only because im on a business trip in the middle of buttfuck nowhere, midwest) and what do i discover?
Not only has shit not changed, but its taken a distinct nosedive, and apparently most of the quality entertaining members are no longer posting, which I can only surmise is thanks to you fucks spamming the board with stupid shit.
Anyway, time to log out again. Its amazing how much I accomplish when im not wasting my brain cells reading the moronic shitpile that this board has become.
