I just don;t see how ronnie was that great in some pictures he just looks like a mess! I think a peak Flex wheeler llooks better then a huge messy looking ronnie. I think he deserved about 3-4 of those mr.O's. he just looked like a mess towards the end.

Yes, everyone got caught up in the Coleman hype and Ronnie was winning looking ass after 03.

He was great until 1999. And by great, I mean he exceeded all the criteria used to consider a bodybuilder a champion in the time period he competed.
After that, he made the ill-advised decision to increase the dosages and food intake to transcend mere "champion" status to "freakiest human ever" status. His physique therefore because unrecognizable from what it had been previously. Not entirely surprisingly, his physical decline after retirement has been equally spectacular as a result.

Ronnie was the freakiest bodybuilder yet in my mind. Very intrigued if he will ever be beaten in terms of sheer muscle mass and freak factor. Clips from him working out in his dvds and he looks barely human with what appears a tiny head balanced on his ridiculous, jumbo sized body.

we can only hope and pray that one day we will see another freaky monster like this on the olympia stage.

That is just the angle of the photo.

To be honest.. When he was Mr O I didn't like it. Because he had a gut mainly..
I always thought he had good arms, my first thought when I first saw Ronnie in a bb mag that a friend had
But I didn't think that he embodied what real bb was. He was too big and not aestethic.
Now 2014 after three somewhat sub par Mr O he's looking better and better.

What kind of question is this.
Ronnie was the best period

'99

I'm not sure. Who was better? Him or Dorian? Someone should really consider starting a thread about that. I see it having potential.

Decent physique. Decent.

Young Ronnie was really impressive.

lol.
yes we think that, and almost every pro that have been asked who was the greatest ever have said ronnie

No he looks awful not just the photo angle. he did deserve a few mr.O's and looked awesome a few years but I honestly think a peak Flex Wheeler was the better then Ronnie. I don't give a shit how much escilene people think flex used Flex wheeler was good enough to have won a few Mr. Olympias.

I think a peak Flex wheeler even beats Dorian. Dorian looked awful to and still pulled off a few Mr.O's.Dorian deserved maybe one Mr.O where he didn;t come in with torn muscles everywhere. Flex Wheeler just had that all-around great flawless physique. Ronnie was close to Flex for his first few Mr.O's in the lat 90's.I still Prefer a Peak Flex Wheeler

Ronnie was gifted with superior physical genetics, speech impediments aside....
-
I've seen the majority of the top pros in person.
Seen them in comps.
The only bodybuilder that has ever shocked me is Ronnie Coleman.
The size and quality of his arms in person, when he was at his peak was unreal.
I remember the gasps from the crowd when he turned round and did his back double biceps. Everyone else on the stage disappeared.
