Title: Evacuated From Work Due to Bomb Threat/Scare
Post by: Skorp1o on May 15, 2014, 06:55:40 AM: Some idiot decided to leave an empty car in the middle of a round about and sprint away causing a massive scare. It all happened outside Bank station just by the building of the Bank of England and pretty much the heart of the City ::)

Last job (Around 15 years ago now) we had a bomb scare at work, they let us go around 10 AM for the day while they dealt with it.
Went out for food and drinks, then back to my house for beers, etc.

Anyways, came in the next day and found out what happened... Someone left a paper bag in the cafe,it said "Bomb" written on the side.
Ended up being the left over remnants of a steak bomb sub that a guy forgot to throw in the trash. ::)

Tool bag... But, we had a good day off thanks to him...

Was at my parents house a few months back, went to get smokes and cops had sealed off top of estate, said they found a pipe bomb and noone could leave. It was obviously just left there by someone to collect later, they live in a quiet and affluent estate. Had to stay in estate for 2 hours, was going mad.

Happens fairly often here, especially in the 1990s with the IRA and more recently with gang crime.
