Title: Injectable Vitamins
Post by: visualizeperfection on May 18, 2014, 05:53:18 PM
So my buddy told me that he gets this vitamin fusion "cocktail" injected once a week by his nurse gf.

He said its an IM shot, just like gear, and that he feels amazing because of it, tons of energy, focus, etc...

What say you, Getbig?

Plausible or is the idea of pinning vitamins as gay as aids?

I got a vitamin shot in the back of Whole Foods from some Dr. that looked like Primemuscle. I truly think it gave me a boost.

He injected my ass cheek (no homo).

The shots he gave me were in individual sealed things with a short needle. Wish I could buy a box of them and do it myself.

People usually get B-12 injections, they probably work better than the oral route.

Yes.

I almost dont believe that any vitamins are absorbed orally all to well.

These are amazing, they really do work.  With that being said, unless you can find time-released b12 you'll need injections every other day, which isn't worth the hassle

Check out online vet pharmacies or Canadian pharmacies to get some if interested

I'm not sure what those look like but I bet they were. It seems like they were like 1/2" long.

Definitely, it's all water-based stuff.  The only caveat is that it stings a bit.

Great stuff though, it increases your energy in the most natural-feeling way.  You'll feel indefatigable, no matter what life throws at you

I have some in my fridge I forgot about that I'll start taking.  Thanks for reminding me  8)

I guarantee you if you bake yourself a fucking cake, you will feel on top of the world and won't need the placebo from injecting yourself with vitamins (of all things).

Ordered and received my cake pans in the mail! I'll get around to making the hummingbird cake in the next couple weeks.

Also the sides of the pans lean/slant outwards....my hypothesis is that this will make a cake with straighter sides, as opposed to a cake where the bottom of the layer is wider than the top of the layer. Thoughts? Don't know if my explanation is the greatest

Straight sided is the way to go.  2 inch sides.  Chicago Metallic is what I use and I find them to be the best out there.

Here is a picture when I made the Hummingbird Cake a little while ago.  The entire thing is around 14,000 calories.

They lean outwards, because that's easier (and therefore cheaper) for production. Those pans are folded or pressed around a metal mould. If the bottom of the pan would be wider than the rim of the pan, you could not get the mould out. The more the sides lean outwards, the easier to get the mold out.
That is also why straight sided pans are more expensive. And they're still not fully straight, they usually slant about 0.5-1 degree, but they look straight.

Try this with your cupped hands as molds and a sheet of paper as folding material. You'll find you need a positive mould on the inside to press the sheet against the negative mould/your hands on the outside.
Also, the line where the two mould parts meet will be visible. It's considered not aesthetic. That would have to be sanded, and that's adds to production costs.

If you like to know more about production methods, watch some 'How It's Made'. Quite cheesy, but informative. I like these kind of videos from 'Sendung mit der Maus' better, but they are in German and not subtitled.

I think the boost is placebo mostly. I did some b-vitamin shots, a painful 3ml amp, didn't notice shit.

As far as b12, well, the oral is absorbed, not quite as well as injectable but the research is there if you want to have a look. Go to pubmed and search for injectable vs oral b12. If I wanted b12 I would take oral methylcobalamin. There are 1, 2, 5 and even 15mg tablets/lozenges of of this stuff. Very very high dose, like a million percent of daily recommendation, so you will be swimming in b12 for sure, relatively poor oral absorption or not.

I would like some injectable glutathione though.

There are pros and cons to vitamin/mineral supplements in the first place. 60 Minutes had a segment on aging where a study followed 14,000 people from age 52 into their 90s (those who lived on) and NONE took supplements and NONE were vegetarians. That said I still believe in supplements.

In the 80s when gear was legal the sports med Docs injected your Test/Decca with bright pink B-12. My Doc also did a liver/mixed Bs cocktail. I felt the boost.

I had a friend dying of liver cancer from being exposed to Agent Orange in Viet Nam. His chemo would zap all his energy so I gave him a liver/mixed Bs shot several times a week. His quality of life was so much better until the inevitable end.

Sub lingual B-12 and B-12/folic acid tablets work and are absorbed. Unlike orally.
