Yes, I especially liked it as a spring/summer work out. See if you could find the old Poliquin multi month lay out that was in MM2K years back. It was actually very good with the planned lighter work, etc....
-
I tried it once with bench. I picked the 65% 1RM and it wasn't heavy enough. It was supposed to be so painful that I would see God and shit my spleen, but that didn't happen.
Never did go back.

German Volume is not volume of exercises or weights but volume of DBOLS and BOLDENONE consumed.

Yea, that was always a trouble with it, for me, the sweet spot was in the low 70's.

Yeah the 10x10 for one compound movement.
Looks as though it is good for lean mass. Anyone got the original program another poster mentioned?

Here is the original version - http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/luis13.htm .
The author reproduced it in a funky way, so just read it carefully. Also it helps if you have a calendar to block off the training blocks.

Above is the original article I believe.
http://muscleandbrawn.com/complete-guide-german-volume-training/
If you go half way through this article they give you their version, muscle and brawn. Keep scrolling till you get to it as the first couple of routines are examples.
I think the M and B one might be best.

Thanks for the replies guys. Just one more question! ;)
It mentions supersets. Does it mean a set of 10 one exercise then a set of 10 next exercise then repeat 10x10?
Or could you do you 10x10 bench press then your 10x10 chin ups after? Only ask as supersets can be a bitch in the gym when it's busy!

He is big on super setting the work. I've done it the other way too, and while you do get something out of it, it really works better if you can super set it.
-
So 10 Bench presses then 10 chin ups then rest. Repeat 10 times for the first exercises.
Cool, thanks for the info. Will try that way!

10 x 10 = 100
Hope this helps
