Fasting for three days can regenerate entire immune system, study finds
A person's entire immune system can be rejuvenated by fasting for as little as three days as it triggers the body to start producing new white blood cells, a study suggests

Fasting for as little as three days can regenerate the entire immune system, even in the elderly, scientists have found in a breakthrough described as "remarkable".

I like the mental effects of fasting when I can be bothered with it, like your mind becomes so much clearer than when on sugars

Yeah, nothing feels better than breaking your food addiction. I feel amazing around 36 hours in.

I do a 7 day fast about once every 8-10 months.
Fasting on it's own is OK but through experience, I find the following helps...
- aerobic exercise first thing in the AM each day - although day 6 is as far as I've managed this
- a steam room for 30 mins each afternoon
- plenty of psyllium husk to ensure you are flushed out from within
- coffee enemas - every other day
All of this helps get the toxins out. Without it, the effects of the fast aren't nearly as profound.
It also helps to be around other people that are doing it. I can't imagine fasting at home. But go somewhere everyone is fasting and it becomes almost fun.
Perhaps the worst part as a coffee drinker is you get headaches on day 2 from the caffeine withdrawal - I always promise myself not to get back into coffee - but that rarely lasts more than a couple of weeks.

Fasting is like eating 0 meals and only drinking tea?
Aren't the mussolims and chews fasting so their healthier tiny tit bodies can achieve world dominance - seems worth a try.

Where can you go where everyone is fasting? The Middle East?
I always thought tea and coffee (black) were fine to drink while fasting?
Thailand & India.
There's a bunch of places on Koh Samui and Chiang Mai but they seem to be staffed by purveyors of vegetarian bro-science.
So you end up with some 50kg Western guy with grey, sallow skin, lank long hair who pongs a bit telling you how meat is murder when it's painfully obvious the guy needs a burger.

As for coffee - the fasts I do are for detox too - so taking caffeine is a no-no when on a detox sort of fast.

Pretty good - they even outdid Jack LaLanne in the weight loss department.

Fasting can be very spiritual. I do it every so often. Im due for one. I love the mental clarity it gives me. Love it. Many in Bibke fasted including Christ himself.

This is another reason it's hard to believe the bodybuilding dogma... I look a lot better after fasting, zero muscle loss (I might even be stronger after).

fasting is what people who have cancer do, they get super lean
seriously id advise against it Roger, your body needs nutrition, just shit more you will cleanse and rebuild by consuming bacteria that is beneficial for your gut like tofu
