He said in one of his videos that the surgeon was shocked at how well his recovery and that Jay worked so hard that his left bicep is now even better than before and now his right bicep needs to catch up. I'm paraphrasing.

I have nothing against biceps implants if the athlete really needs it.
Anybody who's competed understands that true champions like Jay do what ever they need to bring the best package to the fans on gameday. That's why this is the greatest sport in the world. Remember at the Olympia level everybody who competes is a champion!

We can all agree that Jay only had the 12th or 14th best phyique onstage at the Olympia. Everyone knows that. But his positive IMPACT on the sport was easily #1 or #2, out of the men on that stage.
That's why most people think he was robbed at the O, and should have probably won (except for Phil being world-class, best the sport has ever seen). it's like two titans, the best we've seen, peaking at the same time.
LOL, I don't think he was robbed. I thought he should've come in lower but was given a parting gift. Coming into the O I thought he was gonna do a ton better, but he wasn't anywhere close to his best.

if you look in the pre injury pics, his left arm has always been a lil more grainy and striated... and NEITHER of his arms have ever been that hard, separated, or grainy... ever.

Nails, you are a regular "gumshoe." Your detective work is top notch. No one, and I mean no one has been able to analyze Jay's bicep like you have. Good work hunting down all those photos. jay is alright, but his arms and delts really have this site enhancement look to them...
remember that i have some although very limited experience of this nonsense and even if you don't, it's easy to tell...they get a round, flat and uncut look to them...
some dudes today look very big but still don't get this look. i have no idea how they pull it of. probably minimum oil use to gain no more than 1 inch, to that some nolotil or plain site shots with gear...
speculation although i think the truth lies here somewhere...days of 2000 olympia when everyone had deformed muscle are gone...
i first noticed signs of jay doing sites of some kind in 99...
that said he has done a very good job...
surprised he even entered the 2012 o...
talk about destroying a legacy+balls+greediness combined with stupidity...
ernie taylor had that look at 04 dutch gp, but mostly tris and delts were shot...totally a shame he came in 2nd...i felt so shitty being a bb/fan back then >:(

If Jay and his camp are laughing about the "delusional haters claiming my biceps is fake", then you'll know they're nervous and trying to pre-empt the story. You can usually tall which CTs have some truth to them - when the reaction is this huge, overblown pre-denial to try to get people to dismiss the story before even looking at it, well, they are usually pretty guilty.

Look Jay's the king of the hill and he'll use all of the weider principles to stay there, he shows no mercy to the iron. At the end of the day though I'll admit that genetics plays a role: Jay probably couldn't get below 250 unless he was starving.

It's a weird thing. I partially tore my left pec, my good pec at that. Now its been permanently swollen and much bigger than my right. When i get a pump and flex it by bringing my arm over my torso it bunches up into a ball. Fucking sucks if you've been obsessing over symmetry.

Jay looked his best when he was his biggest and driest (2001 and 2009, for example). He looks weird on stage downsized (circa 2013), nothing flows on him cause he's got a wide waist. But when he's big and wide, his shoulders are so wide his waist seems smaller than it actually is.

better than ronnies look he;s trying to keep after all those surgeries,jays a tank still for just lifting and being normal large compared to his old self.he's lean enough and you could see after losing volume /thickness he has collarbone area less mass there,traps still big but not like 2 peaks jutting out,delts still good just not ridiculous as past..

his shoulders are rolled forward making the biceps chronically tight
If he had made sure the bicep wasn't super tight and if he had corrected his shoulder he prob would not have torn
