Why do I think we're not getting the full story here?
Simply put: most judges are above average intelligence and politically minded. How would her actions be viewed by peers and the media? Surely, she cares more about her legacy than whether some deadbeat mom or solider dad get a horde of kids.
So there's something going on that's made her rule in this way. I'm curious as to what it is. Why put her neck all the way out there and risk ridicule? It's just not worth it to her, so something's up.

You are right, you aren't getting the whole story. The sailor is NOT a "deadbeat". He has primary custody of his daughter and gets no monetary support from the mother.

I know. That's why I called her a deadbeat mom (if in fact she's not supporting - I'll assume the article isn't lying about her status). And I called him a "sailor dad", which he is.
But no one reads my post and assumes I'm some bleeding heart feminst agenda grandstander and because I used the word "deadbeat" in the same sentence as "dad". You read what you want to read. I never called him a deadbeat you slack jawed dimwits. He's a soldier serving his country...he has my respect out of the gate.
Just think critically guys: what don't we know? You read an agenda-driven piece, and assume you know all you need to know? Then you read my post, and assume you know everything you need to know?
I'm not sure what's more sad. The court system that takes advantage of men (it clearly does), or people who abandon searching for the truth.

I assume all of you guys posting here have been through the divorce process personally (I have) and can at least speak intelligently and not as emotional trolls.
I read it. I agree. And yes I have been through the divorce process. And a subsequent custody battle, which I won (if anyone ever really wins in these situations.)

For those saying all judges are impartial bastions of justice, when I had to fight (yes it became that way at the time) for legal guardianship of my son I had a choice of initiating proceedings in two jurisdictions. One had a good judge who listened to both sides, one AUTOMATICALLY awarded full custody to mother and let appeals court deal with appeals from MEN.
My heart is racing now with anger at how unjust the system is.
I'm reluctant to post it but when my son was 2 1/2 I made a video for my then gf accompanied to music with our son as a present. Yet when I broke up I was facing losing access to someone I changed my life for just because I ended a relationship.
