I really love driving it, and I love it's look.
but damn the fucking eletronics in it keep fucking up.
Power steering, they changed the alternator, all the lights of the car just stop working for a few minutes at a time when I drive a long distance (pretty dangerous at night and I got pulled over for that)

Sell that pos and get a Mazda 6. Looks, reliability, fuel economy, great fun to drive, better resale value.

First car was a 98 Toyota Corolla. Never broke down, one flat tyre from me drink driving and clipping it off a curb (night my son was conceived ;D ).
Second car thought I'd get a fast car, got a Sierra Cosworth. Couldn't afford insurance so kept changing date on change of ownership form. Constantly pulled over by cops thinking I was a dealer. Constantly fixing problems, spent a fortune on petrol and getting it through car test. Was horribly stressed and sold it losing a ton.
Learned lesson, 2 honda civics since, no breakdowns, no spare tyres even in 10 years.

i have an acura integra, besides gas , oil, and break pads , i have not spent a $1 on it in 12yrs

I would love to own an American car but I can't. I don't lease for a few years. I buy a new car and I then drive it till it's dead. The number one concern with me is reliability. That's why I drive a Toyota. My last Toyota I drove for 17 years with out any repairs except maintenance like brakes and tires. Then I sold it to a college kid who has driven it for 4 years with no problems. All I want from a car is comfort and to have the car turn on every time I turn the key. If the ac and heat works then I'm good.
At work I was given a new car every three years. Mostly Crown Vic Fords and Dodge Durangos. I had a transmission fail at 10K miles in a new Crown Vic and the trans slipping in the Dodge at 30K. My two Jap cars just hum with zero concerns.

U never know. It cd be a bad unit.... Electrical probs are a bitch to trace.... Cd have gotten water in the harness and will never b the same, or may just b a coincidence that u have had a few issues.... Glad its under warranty!!??

Car companies might know how to make a car but these new computer components they don't have a clue how to make a reliable working system.

Japs make the best cars.

Jap and German car makers know if a computer causes breakdown it destroys reputation for reliability. They wouldn't risk it and are quick to recall.

I had a lawnmower like that once. I think it was a Toro or some such. Died every time I needed to use it.
So one day it set me cursing again. But did I lose it? No.
Instead I calmly went to the shed for my twenty pound sledge hammer, and to the fridge for a six pack.
After a few cold ones, I went to work on that bastard and must have pummeled it 70 times (pausing only for another icy cold beer).
Afterward I felt great. Of course I needed to buy a new lawnmower, but, man, that feeling of vindication was something to remember.
Is it worth it for that turd of a car you own? Only you can decide.
And if you do go ahead, please start with the "Made for Grandma in 1955" blue "Furd" badge on the front.

Sounds more like an operator error to me.

Listen, you can pick apart every last thing.
The idea is to look at the OVERALL quality of manufacturing. Of course every car maker will have its problems.
Its similar to research findings. You come up with a statistical number to see if its significant. Based on your sample size, you can extrapolate your findings to the general population. This is similar. You cant take isolated incidences and say foreign cars are worse because of some lemons. You have to look at the OVERALL picture. And the OVERALL picture is that foreign cars are higher quality, even if you take into consideration the times where foreign cars are recalled.

Quite true.
But, i think the foreign maybe a misnomer...many of the toyotas, Hondas, VWs, BMWs are made over here. When Toyota had their "unintended aceleration" debacle a few years back the "Murica" supporters were smirking, then come to find out it was really "misapplied brake pedal", With the current GM issue, people are talking about their quality, but guess what, GM sales are through the roof.
If you take a look at the JD Power Study, you'd be surprised on who is up there for Initial Quality

Stavios may just have a one with issues witht he elctronics.

IMO they fucked up when they upped the price and dropped the HP from the last fusion.

The Toyota pedal issue may very well NOT be a "misapplied brake pedal".
"On February 8, 2011, the NHTSA, in collaboration with NASA, released its findings into the investigation on the Toyota drive-by-wire throttle system. After a 10-month search, NASA and NHTSA scientists found no electronic defect in Toyota vehicles.[27] Driver error or pedal misapplication was found responsible for most of the incidents.[28] The report ended stating, "Our conclusion is Toyota's problems were mechanical, not electrical." This included sticking accelerator pedals, and pedals caught under floor mats.[29]
However, on October 24, 2013, a jury ruled against Toyota and found that unintended acceleration could have been caused due to deficiencies in the Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS). Michael Barr of the Barr Group testified that NASA had not been able to complete its examination of Toyota's ETCS and that Toyota did not follow best practices for real time life critical software, and that a single bit flip which can be caused by cosmic rays could cause unintended acceleration. As well, the run-time stack of the real-time operating system was not large enough and that it was possible for the stack to grow large enough to overwrite data that could cause unintended acceleration.[30][31] As a result Toyota has entered into settlement talks with its plaintiffs.[32]"

FORD suck, always have. Every man and his dog knows they are unreliable, poorly built pieces of machinery. After decades of performance and reliability issues, poor economy and being way overpriced I can't believe people are still gullible enough to get sucked into buying one.
