If WW3 breaks out a nuke will incinerate us all. PIP.
Not true. A few Americans will shoot their 9mm's at the nuclear bomb and will incinerate the nuke in a matter of seconds.
And some Americans know how to hunker, have ready supplies of food and water, know how to make and use a Faraday cage and are quite skilled at small-unit tactics.
Marty would be impressed with the Faraday cage but gamma rays would incinerate you nonetheless.

How old is he?
Faraday cage will not help you in the event of a nuclear attack.

Palmetto is good...best prices around. I noticed some of their lower receiver parts kit and hardware aren't as nice as some I have put together. Still functional and mil spec.

33 rounds and a silencer?
Are you a hit man, AJ?
Despicable :(
LOL @ me telling pro bodybuilders they would only need a one-way ticket when flying to FL to beat me up.
ahhh the good old days on getbig.
I wonder if America has those cases that you see every so often in Ireland or England where someone gets drunk and uses a water pistol or toy gun to rob a shop then gets fucked over because people thought it was a gun.
.
Is that your own gun VP?
With 33 rounds, that's more of an infil/exfil weapon. That is one of the quietest cans in the market. Is that an Osprey on there? I have a couple SWR/Silencerco cans in process.

No pics. My firearm is an Astra .357 revolver.
Nicely equipped AR. Midwest Gen 2 12" rail, Troy BUIS, EOTech EXPS3-2, Sop Mod Stock, Geiselle SSA-E trigger, Streamlight Tac Light, Magpul MS4 sling, etc.
Savage LRP 12 in 6.5 Creedmoor. Steiner military 3-12x56 with 34mm main tube and illuminated reticle, mounted with Badger rings and Murphy precision 30 MOA base. Harris bipod with podloc.
Has the best trigger I have ever used. Breaks clean at less than 1 lb and has a pull length of only a couple thousandths of an inch.
Sorry for the poor pics.
What is it with the Troy BUIS? I wouldn't buy anything else, but the stupid BUIS costs as much as the rest of the Magpul furniture combined!Haha. I feel the same way about the Troy's. I picked up the Troy sights on black Friday directly from them for about $150 for the set. Not too bad. Actually picked up a lot of the parts on black Friday. I have the diopter rear with the HK style front. I saw they have a new design out so there might be some deals on the originals.
Excellent color choice too. I am a FDE guy myself.
You a bench rest guy?No, never shot any competition or bench. Have only shot prone so far. Wounldn't mind trying a sniper competition or some pistol stuff.

Always loved the black rifles. This is the 1st time I played with the FDE. The rifle now wears FDE panels on the rail that balance it out a little better.
Just waiting for the SWR Specwar can to finish it up.
Oh let me know how the Specwar runs. My buddy is hassling me to get one. How long has your Form 4 been in-process?The Specwar has great reviews. For the money I think it's hard to beat with the Trifecta muzzle device included. Suppose to lock on tight, not like the AAC stuff. Only downside is a little heavy. I also have a SWR Sparrow .22 can in process.

sorry aj that swr can is not one of the quietest on the market. i know cans. its a good one but not even close to top performer.
ltd run remington 700 ltr 20" .308 in stainless.
leupold 3-10x40mm mk4 m1
enterprise scope rings (same as used on the army m21)
steel picatinny 7" scope base
harris 9" swivel bipod
sending off to have ti bolt knob installed and some accurizing work done. going to have barrel cut back 1" and threaded for suppressors im building.

Daniels defense......is it as good as advertised?
Well, ok. I do believe it used to be.
:'(
I don't have a real gun, but I have a good security alarm and I keep a .22 air rifle & a 7 iron gold club next to my bed (always have done) I just figure if I can catch someone downstairs I will club them to death, but if I catch them on my driveway i can try to at least give them a brain haemorrage with the rifle ;D
g17 gen2, g26
yeah thats a handful. .357sig is a nasty round. ;D
Not sure why, but I shoot it fine. Gimme the same gun in .40 and I can't hit the side of a barn :-\because .40's suck...they should have left it a 10mm
Not sure why, but I shoot it fine. Gimme the same gun in .40 and I can't hit the side of a barn :-\
i meant nasty as its a jacked up 9mm at high velocity. necked down 40 cal case pushing a 9mm pill. great idea as its pushes the round at a high velocity but without jacking up the pressure (by using the necked down 40 case). no factory subsonic rounds i know of so no ideal for optimal suppressor use but thats ok.
It's good for sure. Pretty pricey, tho. I really like DD lower parts kits. All of the stuff is top notch and on the money, spec-wise.Agree with your choices. Don't have any experience with Spikes, but know they have lots of fans. Like my Eotech, but the Aimpoints are nice too.
I like Rock River lowers, DD LPKs, Spikes barrels and Magpul furniture.
Add the mandatory Troy BUIS and EOTech and you have a fine rifle.
Agree with your choices. Don't have any experience with Spikes, but know they have lots of fans. Like my Eotech, but the Aimpoints are nice too.theres about 5 companies that make the majority of lowers. they are all pretty much the same shit as long as the tech data package is followed.
Palmetto uses FN barrels, who build barrels for the military M249, Bravo Company, etc. I here their receivers are built by Aero, who are known to be quality.
I need your people's opinions.
The country where I live is as much against fire arms as any other anti gun lawed country.
So, in your opinion, do you think twelve hundred bucks for a set of hand gun, one clip, a silencer and two hundred bullets is a legit price? I don't have a picture of the set up unfortunately, but the silencer suppresses the sound like nothing else, like a softer sound when you press on your keyboard and the bullet is still lethal.
_aj_ if zombie apocalypse hits and I have to get my Dad, can we swing by? Promise to bring food to trade for heavy weaponry.
I am assuming that the whole thing is illegal, right? $1200 seems light for a black market pistol and suppressor.
I didn't break no laws >:(!
The pistol looks like a mixture of beretta and luger.
but thanks for the input, can't beat a silencer and two hundred bullets with it :P
PM a pic and of the suppressor. Also, if you unscrew the cap off the suppressor, are the internals steel baffles or old-school cotton disks (called "wipes"). If it's a can with wipes, it probably won't last you too long.

This is the only weapon I need in my life. Food is my weapon to achieve massive gains.

One thing I would love to have here in London is a top notch Glock or a desert eagle and a pump shot gun...but that's not an option. My mate in Houston just got his carry on licence.
I know _aj_ has some sweet guns, just wanted to get a feel on what our friends across the ponds carry/keep at home...ideally pics of the actual guns you own.
I've never understood America's fascination with guns.its an art! everything from the weapon itself to the handling of it...then you start moving with it and it becomes an extension of your body..

actually I'm not america and I don't live in america. I live in north europe.
The only reason I want a gun with a silencer and unmarked bullets is to have the ability to defend my self when ther are no more corners to hide to anymore. And to fuck someone up if he or she is asshole enough.
What I really want is a semi automatic assault rifle. I want a rifle good enough to go to war with, or escape the federal pigs in a forrest and defend my god given freedom when necessary.
The Finnish Valmet is a very, very nice rifle. Probably you used one when you had your mandatory service.
Also, while not a rifle caliber, the M31 (Americans call it a "Suomi", which is just the word for "Finnish") is a VERY nice submachine gun in 9mm.
a bit too old for me, I'm not a collector ;D
I want the rk95 assault rifle :P
(http://www.proairsoft.com/acatalog/EGK-099-STD_RK95_pieni.jpg)
that's what I used in my mandatory service. I could put it to pieces and put it back together reloaded in 15 seconds. 7.62 bullets.
As for the picture, I haven't seen the provider, I only saw the picture of the gun from my friends phone, I try to ask can he send it to me but you know, in a smart phone era people don't usually want to do that, but I try to get the name and stats of it for ya.
The RK95 is basically just an AK with better machining on the parts. The breakdown is identical to an AK47.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's actually a very fine and pragmatic weapon design.
You are in Finland, correct? IIRC, suppressors are not an issue for you, they are just another shooting accessory. In the US, they are as regulated -- under the same statute and regulations -- as full-auto weapons. Our law givers are so idiotic that they believe the movies and that "silencers ::) ) are magical evil devices and need the benevolent government to regulate.i have a folder in one of my gun safes that has probably 25 stamps in it...NFA has made a killing off of me lol
I have to pay a $200 "transfer tax" on top of the cost to own one. PITA.
BTW, because you are allowed to do your own maintenance on your suppressor, an old-school "wipe" based suppressor is fine. You can even make your own wipes out of felt. In the US, cutting a circle of felt out while in possession of a wipe-based suppressor is a 10 year felony. Such is the idiocy of our government.
Do send a pic of the gun and I will tell you what to look for with wear and tear and help you decide whether or not the actual pistol is worth it.
