what's up with the stupid title? american muscle? why not call it "hillbilly jacked" or "bible thumper jacked" or "here's my guns" or some other title catering to the "ahem, certain demographic of the population" who watches brain rotting programming.....

miss those espn morning workout shows back in the day..course with our PC society the women would all be covered up... and so now all we get is sportscenter morning, noon and night. zzzzzz.....

Seen an ad for it last night during the UFC event.

Seems like they are trying to put a new spin on an old classic.

Beyond that I really don't know what to expect but I'll likely watch an episode or 2.

They need Paulkuski (sp?) and a giant Lab to make it more hardcore.

Is it just me or is that trainer chubby? He could use a trainer.

Make no mistakes, unlike the lunkheads on the biggest loser, Barwis is an educated and successful S&C coach and not some person that the networks conjured up to be some TV trainer. Should be a good show.

You still can.  Kiana Tom owns the rights to all of her shows so you can watch them on Youtube.  I do with my Roku box

Maybe you should be their counsel Vince, because I'm sure a small network like the DISCOVERY CHANNEL didn't cover all of their legal basis before they launched the show. BTW, I don't recall Kiana owning the rights to that show. Regardless, stop it.

Show was entertaining. A lot looked scripted. That being said, scripted or not Barwis is a legit S&C coach that will probably never work as a coach again. You can yell and scream all you want it's part of the show, but when you have your peers looking at his training and his lack of technique he'll lose any credibility he has.

Just to add, if I were Richard Sherman's agent I wouldn't let him near Barwis if that how he teaches.

He was going for Hypertrophy just like bodybuilders in that episode right?

So why are his methods so different then mainstream bodybuilding methods?

Serious question... I have more faith in his methods, extreme high intensity like Coach Huang recommends.

What did u think of American muscle ?  I saw the one with suh.  I felt it was all stlye no sub. But that's hollywood.  I'm interested in hereing how factual it is. And your thoughts on the coach. His voice reminds me of Ferrell. The sports radio guy. Lol.
