It is one of my favorites. Phil was a true poet. I went to see his grave and his statue when I was in Dublin.
Ive been listening to his songs for a long long time and they just get better every time.

'Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak
Somewhere in this town
See me and the boys we don't like it
So were getting up and going down'
Jailbreak, somewhere. If I'm the Sheriff of this town I'd be placing all my deputies at, you know, the jail. ;D

thin lizzy is probably from favorite group them and kansas are 1 and 2 depending on week and mood. i've got their whole catalog as well as all phil's solo works and with grand slam and gary moore great rocker. always wonder what he would have put out if he lived longer. black star riders are supposed to be a carryon of the thin lizzy name.

Scott Gorham and Brian Downey both in Black Star have listened to some of the stuff on youtube it's pretty good. Nothing compares to old Thin Lizzy. Been listening to old Kansas in youtube. I saw Kansas and Queen in 1975 in Philly at the Erlanger theater. To this day it is my favorite concert ever. Kansas was great, Queen completley blew me away.

I lived through the 60's, 70's and 80's. Where are the current new rock bands? They don't exist anymore. It's just sad. Music that started with a garage band can't make it anymore with pop auto tune and computer generated music. So much of the pop music today is disposable. Where are he rock bands with 20 something year old members who can sell out a stadium?
I appreciate groups of the past still rocking but where is the new music from up and coming rock musicians? It's gotten to the point where a 20 something will hear an actual live band and say they stink because they don't have a clue what live real music sounds like. The would prefer a band pretending to play to tracks.

Today's music scene is pathetic!

Live and dangerous is one of the best live albums. You can truly get the feeling of the concert. Not many live albums can do that.
Deep purple -Made in Japan and Iron Maiden- Live after death! Those 3 are the greatest live rock albums!
