its not that all people get fat because they are lazy or cant stop eating

as you get older there are alot of people that will get light headed or pass out if they ate very little meals like they did in there youth

If I'm not mistaken, Axl not only gained 100 pounds, but also lost his voice.

The one thing that made him unique is now gone. I used to be a fan, but can't stand to listen to what his voice has become. It brings a tear to my eye to see what the new Axl has to bring.

I mean, listen to this, for fuck's sake, I can't...  :'(

I shall tell you a truth.  It is a crime that we age.   I have given it some thought and would that we remained at our peak until we are suddenly and painless taken home. Preferably by an angel of death that looks and sounds exactly like Sandra Bullock.  "Sigh"... Damn that restraining order.  ;D

Unfortunately, I am not in charge.  Hell begins with the advancing onslaught of old age.  I would ask God what we did, all of us man and animal alike, to deserve this.

Listening to Nancy Wilson sing "Moon River".  Perhaps if the angel of death looked like Sandra and sang like Nancy?

Be well, my friend.  In all ways and for always, all the best to you and your family.

GNR was, by far, my #1 favorite band of all time.  Not even close.  Loved them.  I can play so many slash leads, it's not funny.  it sickens me to see this weak version of GNR, minus slash, with axl doing the mock voice just to reach a range that works for the song's key.

They get plastic so on fat faces we losing weight would brig out the features instead. They'd still have to remove wrinkles but nothing worse that  fat body n neck w face w skin pulled tight

I went to see GNR live in Hamilton in 2009 (?). It was basically a different band, except for Axl and Dizzy Reed. But even still I had a blast! They played some of the new stuff from Chinese Democracy and lots of classics like sweet child of mine and night train. I'm a huge GNR fan, so as long as they sound good I have no problem with what Axl looks like nowadays, and they sounded pretty damn good for a live performance.

People get old, looks go, voices go, things change, nothing stays the same forever man.

I was/am biggest G&R fan ever, matter of fact if it wasn't for slash I would have never picked up the guitar when I was what like 12 years old.

It doesn't matter he's fat now or his voice is gone he's still Axl bro (and he stills sounds awesome), if your a fan man show the dude some love and support bro ...just my opinion, I am pretty loyal.

Wasn't too bad when I saw them. I think show was supposed to start at 8 or 9, I don't remember this was a few years back, he came on maybe 20mins late, so not bad at all. The only thing was the opening band was complete shit, the guy had no voice and he tried to be funny and it just came out sounding awkward.
The show was incredible though. Very happy I went.

I'm shocked - he really has lost it.

I went to see the Scorpions on their farewell tour a couple of years ago and the lead singer was sharp as ever. Had not lost the ability to sign the high notes as Axl has.

In fact - fuck the Scropions - I went to see the Buzzcocks - a 70's punk band in 2009 and Pete Shelly, who looked like your Grandad sounded just like the old records.

Very true.  G n R was NEVER a good live band.  I loved their music as much as anyone but they sucked live.  They would stumble around the stage drunk and junked up on heroin and shit, they sounded bad.  The dude they have playing the guitar for them right now can fucking kick some serious ass though, just like Buckethead did as well, so props to Axl for replacing Slash with two dudes who can whale on that thing.  Reminds me of David Lee Roth when he went out and got Steve Vai -- probably the only guy who can play like Eddie Van Halen.

Anyway, fuck Axl, he was always a douche.  Daryl Hall still has a great voice on his show Live at Daryl's house, for those of us who enjoy soft rock as well  :D

His voice is not longer the same he can't hit those high notes for years actually, they tried a reunion in the late 90's some members Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan made the band Neurotic outsiders  with Duran Duran's bassist John Taylor for that same reason ....

I remember long ago Axl was paid for a reunion tour and special appearance at MTV award (I cant remember though if they performed that night or simply presented an award on stage)...you can look that up on (Youtube) But thing is  Axl couldn't sing any of the classic hits during rehearsal without breaking his voice......

The other super group Velvet Revolver Had Slash in it because same reason him, as the other rest of the band still had the drive to keep touring and making songs but without the the frontman that rarely works.

You do tend to lose the high notes as you age.. especially if there is a lot of smoking and drinking. But guys like McCartney bring it well into their 50s and 60s;- he is over 70 now, but I havent heard him this year. What was worse than the vocals on that first one, was seeing that fat cowboy pretending to be Axl Rose.  Note- I hate hate hate the fat cowboy dress up so many guys do now..

One of his best concert vocals/piano was when Elton John backed him on November Rain. Saw it live at the time and just watched it again on You Tube. The Tokyo concert was also one of his best. Now that aging thing....OUCH!
