She's from Southend on Sea,
Started a blog a coupLe of years back highlighting UK Poverty/Food banks, and has done quite well for herself.
Since then she got a cookery book deal, always on T.V. (battling edwina Currie etc) and even did a slot at the Lefty tent at Glastonbury this year
She's obviously well know around my parts, WYHI?

Most of the time it's time and chance, with these random celebrities.
Hats off to her though, she went from having to quit her job and look after her son full time (Fire Service wouldn't budge on making her hours more felxible) to getting a book deal with Penguin/Glasto/Wriets for Guardian
