Driving from D.C. to Tampa...
long drive, prime time to listen to tunes.
I noticed that a lot of songs have a good intro, but once they get into the core of the song, it fades out.
That got me wondering: What is the best song intro?
I'll throw out GnR Paradise City and Queen One Vision for examples.
(Not to say the core of those songs suck, b/c those songs rock IMHO, just giving an example...)

The intro to "I Feel Fine" by The Beatles. Or, the intro to "Hard Days Night" by The Beatles. Both are distinctive.

Those are some that come to mind. The actual songs are good, but the opening build up.... yowza.
And just because it's such a great commercial -

There are a lot of good ones but the very best in my world is Sympathy for the Devil by the Rolling Stones.

Gorefest - Seeds of Hate, can't find on youtube.
Guessing you're looking for rock/metal?
Metallica's master of puppets album is full of good intros - master of puppets, damage incorporated etc then also for whom the bell tolls, sandman.

OK, not even the biggest Van Halen fan in the world, but "Damn" Mean Streats is insane! Best song On the list so far. I agree with " shine on your crazy diamond" from Floyd! Opposite end of the spectrum from VH. Both are amazing

Can't watch on phone but assuming top video is jeff buckley hallelujah. Always reminds me first time I heard it I was sleeping with a girl. She said it was played at funeral of a friend who died at 30 the day after saying he had seen an angel in his sleep.
