The Ultimate Warrior was the best, followed by Sting.
Saw a documentary on Warrior recently, I never knew he and Sting got their start together as a tag team.

I agree about Sting. It says alot that he stayed relevant for many years, in what were considered inferior shows (minus the heyday of WCW)
I hope he goes out with a bang in the WWE.
He deserves it.

sting for sure, always stayed relevant and reinvented himself. Seems to be one of the hardest working wrestlers of all time.
Goldberg was great when he hit wcw, brutal guy who got a bit too real for some of the guys ;D

I'm partial to Stacy Keibler myself.

I blame the current stagnation of the WWE, on the lack of wrestlers with mic skills.
Mic skills and wrestling are 60/40 in my opinion.
Just look at guys like Hogan and Flair. Both legends, both were experts on the mic.
They were mediocre in the ring, but nobody gave a shit.
Everybody wanted to hear what they had to say next.

Yes, it has been pure shit. Roman Reigns has no mic skills.
Cena, Orton, Wyatt, and HHH cant carry it by themselves.
-
HHH because he's a good wrestler and inspired me to start lifting.

not to mention brock lesner , that dude has said all of 3 words his entire time back , Paul hayman has to talk for him, lol what a joke
-
HHH because he's a good wrestler and inspired me to start lifting.
The wrestler that got me into lifting was Tony Atlas.
I remember, as a kid, telling my mother that I wanted to look like him.
To which, she responded, "He's Black!"

He had fantastic structure. The Vic Richards of wrestling.

Can't watch wrestling anymore for how stupid it has become.
They seem to have lost the ability to recognize good talent. Wade Barrett(sp) has "it" and maybe a couple others I can't even name. Other than that, there are no more guys with that larger than life hollywood persona the guys from the 90's had.
I'll still watch an NWO video once in a while to listen to Hogan Scott Hall or Nash on the mic, those guys were seriously funny hombres.

That's funny, he was the inspiration for me to start weightlifting too! Did you know he was Lou Ferrigno's stunt double on the tv show The Incredible Hulk? True story. I loved Mr. USA, he's lift guys over his head and the announcer would yell, "he's got him up, he's got him waaaaaay up!". LOL
Anyway, my favorite wrestler was actually Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. Saw him fight Pedro Morales for the Intercontinental title : D
-
Funny how nobody has mentioned Hogan :D

Archie 'The Stomper' Gouldie and "Dr. D" David Shultz from Stampede Wrestling days in Calgary. And Rick Rude and Macho Man from WWE days.

Best jobber - Rocky King
Ok, someone help me out here... there was a jobber that was not overly bad... sort of like a Brad Armstrong... just used to push talent up. Never won a match. But the gimmick here was that he lost like a thousand matches in a row and was looking for his first win. No one wanted to wrestle him because they didn't want to be known as the person who lost to him first. The jobber had decent skills and would do surprise things like quick roll ups, inside cradles, or reversing moves into pinning attempts. He would only lose because he got distracted or by DQ (like picking his opponent up for a slam and hitting the ref, or dumping them by accident over the top rope). The main card guys would go out of their way not to wrestle him. Sort of like an Undertaker reverse streak. LOL

I saw him back 1985 at Geaorge Eifermans gym with Hulk Hogan and the Road Warriors. They were all wresting at the Show boat hotel that night.Tony dwarfed them all. This is when Hulk Hogan clamied to have 24" arms.He looked like a stick next to Tony Atlas. The Road Warriors didnt look quite as big standing next to Tony either. He was about 285lbs and was lean lol at the time.George Eiferman said.Thats the biggest muscular man I have ever seen.I suprsied he could even fit through the door.lol
Tony is the only Wrestler to win the Mr USA title 2 times.

My favourites go back a long way.

My first wrestling hero was Gene Kiniski. He claimed he was Canada's best athlete. To prove it he would challenge others but do his sport first! No one challenged him.

Hands down!!
-
My favorite wrestler was Ricky 'the Dragon' Steamboat. His acrobatic tricks made me so enthousiatic, I jumped up and down the couch (and fell off quite often). Oh, and I had a crush on Jesse Ventura... I loved the WWF!
-
Kane and Undertaker hands down. And not the American badass or bald loon stages. I mean the dark pyro mofos.
The WWE fucked up, they tried to make it seems more like faux UFC, at a time when they should of went in the complete opposite direction.
They should of kept it more theatrical, almost like a comic book type setting. Brought in better actors, got celebs involved, more focus on lighting and set pieces.
-
British Bulldog was my fav of all time.
Also liked Kane when he first arrived the WWF and had the full mask.

Lemme guess, you don't watch wrestling because it's "fake" but you like movies like Transformers. Or any movie for that matter.

It's like soap opera for men.
It's good entertainment, nothing to be ashamed of.

Hogan's arms were a legit 22" at his biggest and in the early 1980's, Hogan was a big dude (320-330 pounds and 6'6" at the time). Today he's max 6'3".
-
Never cared about Entertainment Wrestling that much, but i loved Ultimate Warrior's appearance and personality... In my opinion he had the freakiest physique ever in WWF/WWE, especially when he was Dingo Warrior and Freedom Fighters/Blade Runners with Sting... He was big and wide as a house with huge arms, only Tony Atlas was comparable...

Yeah Hulk was never anywhere close to lean by any definition but he was a real big guy. Look how tall he is here at 14:00 next to Andre:
Or here at 2:00 as Jesse Ventura claims he's 6'8" haha :D
Andre was "billed" at 7'4" but he was probably close to a legit 7'0". Here he is with 7'1" Wilt and some health-look tiny tit. If you consider that Arnold was probably 6'0"+ here then Hulk was well over 6 feet tall. I have no problem believing Hogan's arms were 20+ inches in his prime.
-
Who was the getbigger who used to derive the complex mathematical formulae showing that his arms were proportionally the biggest on getbig? I think it was Matt C.
-
He was on the US Olympic team (weightlifting) if I remember right.
First American to Clean and Jerk over #500, and also Clean and Press over #500. Also had a good snatch at #386, I believe.
His downfall was a lack of flexibility and mounting injury. Also the end of the Clean and Press after the 1972 Olympics was a blow to him, as that was where many American lifters would make up any lower standings in competition. He was also #3rd at the first World Strongest Man.
As to the original question? Randy Savage, and The Junkyard Dog.

Lance Storm was very underutilized - especially in the WWF. I was honestly surprised and disappointed they couldn't make better use of him.

Doink the clown anyone? :D

The Von Erich boys were very competitive with each other. Some folks speculate that they even tried to outdo each others' deaths with the suicides.

The original Doink was Matt Borne; actually a very good worker who finally struck gold with a gimmick that may have been a death sentence for any other talent, but he enjoyed some great success with it. When they first introduced the character, I honestly thought it would end up being another Red Rooster or Repo Man.

yeah,,he was bulked thick from his bbing days as dingo, them wwf got lean/still sized as well but freaky veins/hardness
Yes... There is a video on the tube of him with Sting (who was big also) as Freedom Fighters doing some sort of a promo, Hellwig is crazy huge, thick and wide, much more than his ripped/harder UW days... Considering that he was around 6' foot, he would dwarf many bb pros, he had the potential to go bb route easily...

In the pic that was previously shown you can clearly see his traps through his bomber jacket, built like a house in those days but wasn't ever really a fan of his build.

[Andre was "billed" at 7'4" but he was probably close to a legit 7'0". Here he is with 7'1" Wilt and some health-look tiny tit. If you consider that Arnold was probably 6'0"+ here then Hulk was well over 6 feet tall. I have no problem believing Hogan's arms were 20+ inches in his prime.

IMO, that pic looks shopped to make Arnold appear tiny. If true, Wilt would be 8' tall here.
Watch "Conan the Destroyer", Arnold is not that small standing next to Wilt in that movie.

This is his best promo

Lol!!! That was great. You can tell there was some real animosity there. WWE would never let a wrestler go off like that these days. I think the closest guy was CM Punk, and we all saw where that got him.
I almost like the theatrics and the mics skills more then the actual wrestling these days.
The only problem is that the mic skills are horrible right now. The WWE is stale right now.

I'm not sure but here are some others. He's substantially shorter than Wilt.
The first pic looks like it's taken from a slight overhead perspective which I think will exaggerate height differences.
