i have not try-ed to do pullups for a long time. finally try-ed them, and i was able to do about 4. now I'm able to do sets of 4 pull-ups. thinking about doing them every workout, to try to get back to my prime,
when i could do sets of 10. any problems with doing some pull up every work???

Try this:
Get some hammer and nails and in between sets, hammer as many nails in a board as fast as you can. Very good cardio, forearm and lat workout.

Some of those circus strongmen can do that.
I would advise against it. Another great workout is going to the store and buying large bags of bird seed. Then you pile them as high as you can and then map out a straight line about 200 yards. You then take each bag to the 200 yard mark as fast as you can until the pile is moved.

Had the same problem. A few months ago I started doing them 4x per week and results have been good so far. Bigger and stronger lats, plus better ROM. And not too much anal leakage.

Being that you're at a beginner stage you can get away with that now. Yet when you advance more, and then start to do weighted it's a different thing. Guys into the whole street workout, and calisthenics. Both overseas and here, do them every day. Yet they lack overall development. When you're doing so many reps it's just endurance. You'll have to add weight and train as any other muscle.

Arnold wrote in one of his books that one should do 50 pull-ups. If you can only do one, do 50 sets of 1. If like you, one can do 4, do 12 sets of 4 and one set of 2 or whatever combination as long as the total count is 50. Soon you'll be doing them like a champ.
I cheat. I use a weight assisted Nautilus pull-up machine when I do them.
I don't recommend you do them every workout unless you are doing full body workouts a couple of times a week. Your body needs time to recover and grow.
