I can't go very far with it because of the gearing and the weight (even though it's an aluminum frame). I will probably end up buying a Specialized Allez. Sells for about $750 and is an excellent bike.

Mountain gives up too much speed.

Road bike will have flats every other day from the little bits of glass in the street.

After 25 years of riding bike in the city, I finally gave it up. Too many near death experiences.

Get a rear fender if you are gonna need it in the rain/snow unless you like a stream of cold slush up your back.
