The people of the US are against, our leadership isn't.
-
sounds like they are just against innocent people getting their fucking heads chopped off alive

The US government is a farce. Democrats or Republicans. It doesn't matter.
They are currently trying to sort out the mess that they helped create.

Remember the US government wanted to fight alongside them in Syria against the moderate Bashir government... Unless I'm missing something?

If John McCain and Lindsey Graham are so worried about ISIS–why did they want to arm them?

On the Sunday talk shows, Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) criticized President Barack Obama’s recent decision to order so-called limited airstrikes against the terrorist group ISIS in Iraq.
Both Senators wanted President Obama to use more force against ISIS and both Senators claimed that ISIS posed a direct national security threat to the United States. Senator Graham even went on Fox News Sunday and called ISIS a “existential threat to the homeland.”
For those of you who are Common Core English students, “existential threat to the homeland” means a threat to the survival to the United States.
Now, I do not know if ISIS does or does not pose a threat to the United States, but I do admit I doubt that they pose a threat to the survival of the country. However, if Senators McCain and Graham are so worried about ISIS that they not only want to expand the latest war in Iraq, but also view ISIS as an “existential threat to the homeland”, why did both men support arming them to fight Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad?

People didn't understand why I supported Assad. Even after videos emerged of the "rebels" eating the lungs and heart of soldiers they killed ::)
Sometimes a dictator is the best option. Syria was a fairly wealthy country before the Islamists tried to turn it into a backwards shithole.

Why would our government not back Assad though? I can't understand it at all. They were really itching to help Isis, just like they're so eager to help overthrow the government of Ukraine.
WTF is going on? lol

They stalled on moving against Gaddafi and the Egyptian guy, can't think of his name. When they saw which way the tides were going in Libya they suddenly aided the militants killing a dictator. Egyptian dictator was even supportive of American interests.
In other words, I think Obama looked at the international support for the rebels against these regimes, thought it might help spread "democracy" in region so weighed in on one side.

Jordan is preparing for action too ;)

Its the same old uncle sam dumb strategy, train them arm them, then they turn against your interests, then kill them, repeat. I recommend the untold history of the USA by Oliver stone, not totally accurate but you can read arguments against and form your own opinion.
