I blame the influx of illegal aliens and the politicians supporting amnesty.

And of course, the piece of crap politicians like Warren and Romney that support a minimum wage.

Obama supports both amnesty AND the minimum wage.  So he is grouped in with those "piece of crap" politicians I mentioned.

You didn't know he held those positions?  He does.  Terrible for America.  But obama's had some help from liberal dems in congress as well as RINOs who scream about being conservative, while at the same time supporting many lib positions.

If we assume the POTUS has control over the free market then shouldn't Republican be congratulating Obama for this success?

If we believe that the POTUS has control or influence over wages in the free market then Republican should be congratulating him since we have an abundance of example of Republican wanting to get rid of the minimum wage and saying that people will work for less.

Quote
Sanders: So you do not believe in the concept of the minimum wage?

Alexander: That’s correct.

Sanders: You would abolish the minimum wage?

Alexander: Correct.

I can't help it when these flip-flopping RINOs change position based upon the latest poll.

They all signed a petition supporting a raise in minimum wage:
http://web.archive.org/web/20060731122616/http:/www.house.gov/shays/news/2006/july/minimumwage.pdf

They wrote this letter to John Boehnner.  Click the link to read it from the House.gov website.  They laid out why they demand an immediate substantial increase.  Very dem-like!  They all signed it.

Of course, when a politician lacks any kind of true belief, he can change positions at any time.   I'd say any video showing one of these "repubs" saying the opposite is worse than just having one position.  If they support BOTH - in the face of simple economics saying it hurts the economy - they're worse than libs, who are at least consistent in their belief.  "Repubs" that shit on it to win primaries, then support it to win general elections.  :(

How about ignore polls and look at their actions

As recently as April of 2014 the Senate Republicans blocked the minimum wage bill and the article states there is no support by House Republicans.

yep and if you remember the economic disaster that was handed to him by your party I have no doubt we're better off now then if Repubs had continued to be in control.

Your party owns the House and yet they've passed no legislation that would increase wages or even help the economy or the middle class.

Now carry on with your requisite 100 daily post about how Obama sucks

yeah, low wages are great so long as the taxpayer doesn't end up subsidizing the employer with ten dollars for every one they pay (the real cost of illegals)

Luckily I make 50% more now than I did in 2008 but that's a sobering statistic

Actually cities and states with higher minimum wages have the most amount of economic growth
Here are some examples:

There is plenty of evidence that Republicans are not in favor of higher wages in spite of the fact (or maybe because) it's been shown to spur economic growth.

The premise of the idiot who started this thread is that wages are down and somehow that's Obama's fault or that some of us "blame "still blame palin w Romney et al"

wtf does that even mean.  What exactly would we be blaming Palin and Romney for in regards to this topic.  Neither of them ever even held national office.

The mental patient who started this thread is actually himself in favor of lower wages (again in spite of the evidence that higher wages are better for everyone)

This is just one of 1000's of thread on this board that are completely void of any meaning or coherence and only exist so that our resident mental patient can calm the OCD monkey on his back for a few minutes

I live in washington, and that min wage stat us a little misleading....

A huge factor has to do with out manufacturing base in Boeing, also Microsoft, and Amazon.

Boeing has created shit tons of jobs because they have a record backlog of plane orders right now, so all the small ccontrators are tooling up and highering tons of employees to fuel them same with Amazon.

So no, the min wage isnt really whats driving economic growth here. ...

Also, when they passed the 15/hr min wage bill,  a bunch of the companies that were under that umbrella discharged numbers of employees and moved to automated systems to take orders.

I lol'd.

Dolt, this business commonsense as to what would happen. If I had a business that was forced to pay a higher wage, I would have to raise my cost of goods and services. Business would be affected BIG TIME. What part are you not understanding?

so tell us how it has effected your business

are you selling less tire flipping lessons?

Anything that affects my bottom line affects my business. Every new entitlement, every new tax, every time that asshole decides to take $100mil vacations.

It affects some of my clientele that own businesses which in turn....affects my business. I could go on if you like but since you have a degree in finance which I'm sure includes some business basics, you should know this, but kinda doubt it.

in that regard, I'm still waiting for "coach" to tell us how each new tax, entitlement or presidential travel directly effects his bottom line

are you referring to the bold part of your quote

Anything that affects my bottom line affects my business. Every new entitlement, every new tax, every time that asshole decides to take $100mil vacations.

It affects some of my clientele that own businesses which in turn....affects my business. I could go on if you like but since you have a degree in finance which I'm sure includes some business basics, you should know this, but kinda doubt it.

if so give me specific examples

I'd especially like an example of how POTUS's travel effects your clients and therefore your bottom line

Typical Illegitimate Coach

Makes an idiotic claim and can't back it up with some examples

Hey Coach - do you have your fee for tire flipping lessons on a white board so that you can change the price daily based on every new tax, entitlement or trip that Obama takes ?

Long term China's wages will rise and US wages will drop until they meet somewhere in the middle.

Just a by product of everything being made there.
