Title: Anyone own a Tempur-Pedic mattress?
Post by: El Diablo Blanco on August 13, 2014, 06:58:46 AM
It's the yearly getbig "does anyone own a Tempur-Pedic mattress" thread.

I'm in the market for a new mattress and was trying these out.  It's hard to tell if they are better without actually using one for a few nights.  Does anyone own one?  How would you compare to regular mattresses.  How about smell and stains and stuff?  I did hear that sex on them is awkward because of the lack of springs.  But since I'm not banging fatties anymore they won't sink and get stuck in the foam.

My brother on law hates his. He runs hot at night (tren?) and sinks in and burns up.

That said, I have a tempurpedic neck pillow and can't sleep well without it.

r they really worth the money?

They're really pricey and did hear about the heat.  Apparently the new ones have cooling gels and better air flow.  Could just be marketing bullshit to sell the same product.

They aren't that much more than a good standard.

I just went over to Macy's and tried each mattress there and bought the most comfortable one. Fuck the money, sleep is very important for everything, including training (bb-related).

I will replace it at year 8.

We have had ours over 2 years, no heat issues which was my main concern.

Tempurpedic is the only design that has the secret formula for not feeling like you're in a heat trap.

Their material is the same as NASA's for cooling methods.

This is why they can sell their mattresses without discount, same thing other "trademark" product companies do like Under Armor.  There's never any discount on their products, because they can.

I love mine.  Ive had it about 6 years and have never slept better.  You do heat up a bit, but just use light blankets.

Temper pedic was the best mattress I've owned. When I was single and dating the women would complain about being hot, often times soaking the blankets in sweat.. for me, no problem and I kept it. Women come and go, a great night sleep, priceless. Then I remarried and she had the same issue. Ended up selling it and getting a high end regular mattress that does pretty well. I can live with it but I think when this wears out I will give the new cooler T.P. mattress a try..   I did notice that after a couple years an indention was forming where I slept so I would rotate the mattress around even though they say you don't have to do it.

its not. I used to work at a furniture store back in late 07-09 and I delivered dozens of them. Never saw a return. Mayyybe one. Depends on which mattress you get but they did address the heat issue.

Every customer I talked to raved about theirs, absolutely loved them.

Had a couple tell me it helped fix back problems and sleep problems that had plagued them for years.

Guy in the bed shop yesterday told me the complete opposite.  Boil in the bag mattress.

Screw tempur pedic. Go to costco. Check out the one they sell. It comes in a big box w wheels. U roll t home like luggage. Open box n it unfolds.

Called sleep innovations. Read the reviews online. Have had mine for seven years have recc to hundreds n many have bought. The king size is only round 500 bux.

14 inch layers of foam. W pillow top. No heat!

Worth buying a 40 dollar costco membership just to buy the mattress

I'd rather lay on the floor than on a soft mattress.

They get very very hot

Otherwise I love mine

Truly tho, as someone on tren, clen and various shit that makes me sweat at night, I have to change my sheets nightly

Kind of like juniors mom does after he wets the bed every night

Before he even gets in it, just standing there with that schnozzola , peeing all over his bed

Then he jumps in head first

To his puddle of pee on the bed

Tucks himself in to his wet piss soaked  covers

Yells "night mum" from the attic

She tells him to stfu

He queefs

Summary: 8/10 review tempurapedic for win
