Title: Chipotle - Where 8 people touch your food
Post by: El Diablo Blanco on August 23, 2014, 06:03:21 PM
What's the fucking deal with this place? One guy grabs the tortilla and heats it. Passes it to another person that adds rice and beans. Passes it to another person that adds meat and then passes it to another that adds toppings. Someone else rolls it and then hands it to the person next to the cashier who then gives it to the cashier to put in a bag.   Why the fuck do so many people have to touch my dinner?

Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder. Nobody wants to get touched in the posing room.

At least you see what is happening to your food. At every restaurant a bunch of people touch your food, you just don't get to see it.

It's an assembly line. It makes the process faster.

At Chiotle, or Qdoba, or any other type of restaurant like this, you actually see the people fixing up what you eat, although you don't see them making it (that is still in the back).  At Pick Up Sticks (which I like a lot), you actually see the people COOK your food, which I like also.  But alas, at any restaurants, 8 people behind the scenes can touch your food. It is what it is.

Always eat at places which are designated clean, and have good reviews.

Don't they wear plastic gloves like Subway?

Yup, every time I've gone they wear gloves and change them frequently.

Chipotle is hard to beat for tasty, convenient, inexpensive food....plus you can get pretty much any p/c/f split you want (bodybuilding related)

I'm a huge chipotle fan...but I nearly died choking on their non organic cut steak today. Damn stringy fat was half in and out of my throat.
