Agreed. Would like to see how benni did

I went to Leeds to watch ESM. It was a real great day. I would've liked to have met the athletes afterwards but you had to have bought a vip ticket to meet them. The most impressive guy there for me was Eddie Hall. He's gonna be challenging for the WSM imo.

Will Dan Green also join, or only a bunch of fatsos?
-
I believe it's strong men, hence no Dan green.
I think it's the gpa world's Dan is training for now. I could be wrong.
-
Keep us posted on this. Have a feeling it will be a 49.99 DVD :-\

Why would it matter. The contest is to see who lifts more, not who has the best physique to be gawked at by Schmoes....

There's a life beside powerlifting as well. Why would someone look like a miserable fat fuck? Almost nobody cares about their strength.
-
i suspect Dan is doing 242s.id bet hes going for 900 pull at least.
as has been said before.the scene has changed. powerlifters are moving toward lean with more muscle..Green,Tee Cummings, lilibridges etc.

Why would someone look like a miserable fat fuck? (In total agreement with you, hate the fat pig look, would not want to look like that).

Raw is coming back hard....the fat guys no longer rule the sport. Hell even Hthor Björnsson is slimmed down.

There you go, and don't get me wrong, I have a huge respect for their physical capacities, but these guys are harming their health/lifespan.
Maybe there should be a limit of 250 pounds for the heavy weight class?
-
I competed with some guys a few weeks ago that ran around 265-275. None of them were bloated to fill gear. I think you can get jacked fairly lean dudes competing raw. The geared guys all work to fill out the suits and while the totals are ridiculous you still have a guy like BJ Whitehead at 265 total 2K and look huge.
-
wow, and i thought Generation Iron was a giant piece of shit , i take that back

Being strong only matters if your also jacked , thats what is impressive.

Coach would you consider a 350kg squat and 320kg deadlift Raw good at under 100kg class?
-
Is Hugh Jackman competing?

Those would qualify as elite lifts in the 220lb class raw.
Those are outstanding 220 numbers

770 pounds and 705 pounds @220? World class and a very easy Elite total if you can bench press at all.
Sensational numbers.

i can bench only 180kg as tore shoulder off the bone years back
-
Even with that bench. The dead and squat would make up for it. Let's say you have an estimate 1850 total. At 220. You be on the top 20 all time raw at that class. You need to compete, and if you didn't know this you probably don't follow power lifting that much. Meaning at the right gym, you'd turn into a beast.

I do compete, those lifts are competition numbers. Next comp is just a deadlift one in 25th Sept then full power in Oct 25th
-
You have phenomenal numbers. Easily world class. Good luck with the next meet

Still a solid bench. Approaching double body weight.
I competed in the USPF for many years. I have a Master's rating (patch) at 198, 220 and 275. I have my Elite rating (patch) at 242.
