Title: Big Ramy & 90's Diuretics
Post by: TEMPER on August 28, 2014, 07:30:11 PM
I don't know what Dennis and Ramy have as a plan...Maybe to just cruise with top 5 Olympias until Phil retires. But it's obvious he is not using whatever "tricks" or whatever that the 90's "Grainy" guys were utilizing.

My theory along with many others' is Diuretics...Are guys afraid of them? Didn't numerous guys seize up with crippling cramps, and a couple even die / fry kidneys from them?

If you take this:

And put him on whatever created this "look" you would have your Mr. O 10 times over...

It's all the insulin, it puffs up the muscle leaving no hardness or detail. Everyone today looks like a Michelin man.

I also think that certain guys just go flat when they take the diuretics.... They look big & full 3 days out... But look somewhat flat and deflated on stage.

Good point. Pros today don't suffer. It seems like you watch their videos and they "diet" on 4000 calories for a contest. Epic reliance on drugs.

100% accurate... They use the same protocols for water, just with so much skin and GH it almost impossible to be grainy...

u think its related to intramuscular fat storage from the insulin?
or water retention from GH that diuretics just cant get rid of?

i rather think its the insulin more so than the GH, i guess in the 90s they all already used GH, insulin use probably started early/mid 90s when dorian exploded (~93)

Although muscles have 'fibres' it's just another medical term to describe muscle 'cells'. Bottom line is with today's Pros and insulin abuse, it has a huge effect on how the cells appear, even when the body is 'dry' and lots of diuretics are used the guys who have been smashing insulin year round, the muscle cells are going to become smoother as they're holding more nutrients/liquid.

Wouldn't matter if they followed munzer's conditioning protocol or hardening compounds to the tee, their muscle cells are smoother - you can't change that look no matter how much subcutaneous fat & water you lose....

Cameras play a slight role IN PICS, but the vids dont lie.

The only ones from the 90s that are comparable to Heath in terms of leanness/separation is Dorian/Munzer/Ronnie. The camera quality of the 90s added a lot to the "grainy" effect. IDK how many of you have seen Heath in person but he looks damn near skinless on stage.

dude, in the 90s they used film for video. Film has more grain than digital. Doesn't matter if its a photo or vid...film was used in 90s. This is a fact. It doesn't matter if it was later converted to digital..its original source is film which has lots of noise and grain.

As a matter of fact, there's usually more noise(what you probably call static) and grain in old 90s video film than in photography film. So you're wrong, vids do lie.

Him being ' grainy ' has absolutely noting to do with film. It has to do with his level on conditioning and his fair skin.

Look at all the fucking grain in the background. Don't get me wrong, dude is conditioned, shredded and grainy as fuck - probably in the top 5 shredded of all time - but that added grain from the film, scanning, and post processing is so ridiculous you can see it in the background and that contributes to the look.

This....I don't know of any national competitor or pro bodybuilder that isn't using Lasix.  In addition to that, synthetic growth hormone is more readily available and is relatively less expensive than it used it be.  However, bodybuilders will generally overdo it to compensate for shit training and it causes the organs to grow larger.  That's why those days of trim waistlines and vacuum poses are the thing of the past.

Bodybuilders need to go back to the training principles of what Arnold, Zane, and the other 70's bodybuilders did...spend more time hitting FREE WEIGHTS and less time on Facebook and Twitter.  Most of the bodybuilding videos show mostly eating and signing autographs or driving in their fancy cars that they have on lease....barely any training......

Arnold, Franco and Zane on the other hand spend  5hours a day in the gym training and then worked in the afternoon doing bricklaying work and construction.  Sergio Olivia worked overnight as a butcher, and Ken Waller was throwing students through glass windows.

Get the picture???

So you agree with this also? that his hardness couldn't be caught on paper etc if so then apparently everyone is suffering mass delusion and see's something that can't be caught. You sound religious, it's something intangible, mystical, special, couldn't be tested, caught on film only sense when near naked in close proximity hitting poses.

How are we referencing munzer as the standard for the 90's.... that'd outlandish. So you take the most shredded guy arguably ever and compare him, and state everyone was like him? Have you seen why he died? Have you read his stack? Far beyond what most today take.  Guys then used insulin and go also... oh and have you heard of dnp? Which Munzer was a big fan of.

no man, he has some what of a point, some bodybuilders are different in person. The driest skin I ever seen on a pro was Pavol Jablonicky, his skin was literally transparent and was grainy as fuck, just sheer dryness in person and then when I seen the pics later there was very little difference between him and everyone else.

As for the grainy look being harder to achieve now is do to both slin and gh, the massive amounts of gh will thicken the skin over time and the slin will build visceral fat that once attached to the skin dieting will not get rid of it. They simply use way more today then before

Wow.

Just... wow.

Is there ANYONE in this thread that actually knows WTF they are talking about?

You should be posting up pics of yourselves "back in the day" and then current pics, explaining how your protocol changed what we saw then vs. what we see now....

But...

My guess is, nobody here can do that. No empirical or personal data, only what you've heard, what you've read, what you "think" you know... and not a stitch more

And not one person has brought up "silhouettes"

as in: able to define very easily "who was who" simply by their build.

Today? A silhouette tells nothing, because all are the same.

Think those last statements have no relevance on your conversation?

That's what I thought.

Keep up the guess-work. "Hypothesis" is completely out of the question here....

and don't do anything stupid based on what you've read about DIEuretics .... or Insulin for that matter.

Mustapha Muhammad almost died twice and was rushed to ER because of diuretics under the watchful eye of Milos Sarcev.

Big Rami would drop on the spot at his size if he messed with them and cocks it up....not to mention the kidney damage they do is brutal, nothing stresses the kidneys more than severe dehydration.

This will end in a Momo Benaziza fashion.

Don't get me wrong, dude is conditioned, shredded and grainy as fuck - probably in the top 5 shredded of all time - but that added grain from the film, scanning, and post processing is so ridiculous you can see it in the background and that contributes to the look.

Who are the others that are more shredded than Munzer?

Wow.

Just...

"Hypothesis" is completely out of the question here....

and don't do anything stupid based on what you've read about DIEuretics .... or Insulin for that matter.
dude, take a breath
